Directions to Solve
In each of the following questions two statements are given and these statements are followed by two conclusions numbered (1) and (2). You have to take the given two statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts. Read the conclusions and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the two given statements, disregarding commonly known facts.
Give answer:
- (A) If only (1) conclusion follows
- (B) If only (2) conclusion follows
- (C) If either (1) or (2) follows
- (D) If neither (1) nor (2) follows and
- (E) If both (1) and (2) follow.

Check the introduction part it is well defined there for this type of cases. The Venn diagram here given are for the conflicting cases for respective cases.

Answer A is correct because first, we draw basic diagram then according to the conclusion we create possible diagrams if any one of the possible diagram is true then we left basic diagram and consider the possible digram. Here in question, the first diagram is basic diagram and second is the possible diagram (which is a draw based on conclusion).

Option D is correct because we have to decide all possible Venn diagrams and out of above two, none follow the two condition simultaneously. As the matter of A, it is outlawed by the second Venn diagram, a possible Venn and can't be ignored.

According to second Venn diagram, some cows are elephants. So, how is it possible that answer is 'D'.
