How? The questions is total 3 persons age is 80 years then 3 years back if we calculate it will be 77. Then how 71 is possible?

A simple logic behind the problem is;
80 - 3 * 3.
=> 80 - 9 = 71.
80 - 3 * 3.
=> 80 - 9 = 71.

Let the 3 persons age be 30, 30, 20(30+30+20 = 80)
Before 3 years, age be 27, 27, 17.
So, total age before 3 years(27 + 27 + 17 = 71).
Before 3 years, age be 27, 27, 17.
So, total age before 3 years(27 + 27 + 17 = 71).

Let the 3 persons age be 50, 28 and 2 (50+28+2 = 80).
Before 3 years, age be 47, 25, 0.
So, total age before 3 years(47 + 25 + 0 = 72).
Note: Age can not be negative.
Before 3 years, age be 47, 25, 0.
So, total age before 3 years(47 + 25 + 0 = 72).
Note: Age can not be negative.

Sum of their ages 3 years ago = 9 (i.e age of Akbar=3, age of Amar=3 age of Anthony).
Therefore 80 - 9 = 71.
Therefore 80 - 9 = 71.

Here (80-3 × 3) = 80 - 9 = 71.
