And we can solve this also as.
14 = 7 * 2 and 7 + 2 = 9.
Similarly 26 = 13 * 2 therefore 13+2 = 15 i.e. answer.

I did add the first terms digits together then add 4.
1+4=5+4 = 9.
2+6=8+4 = 12.
1+4=5+4 = 9.
2+6=8+4 = 12.
