According to me, the solution is;
1+4=5, 5*2-1=9.
2+6=8, 8*2-1=15.
And I got the answer right.
1+4=5, 5*2-1=9.
2+6=8, 8*2-1=15.
And I got the answer right.

See 14, 9 and 26 are composite number then the next number should be composite. This means 31 and 13 cannot be an answer.
Now next,
14 is even.
9 is odd.
26 is even.
Then, the next number should be odd.
This implies the next number is odd i.e. 15.

If I calculate,
9*2= 18-4 = 14.
Hence,
15*2= 30-4 = 26.
9*2= 18-4 = 14.
Hence,
15*2= 30-4 = 26.

14/2 = 7 then 7+2 = 9.
26/2 = 13 then 13+2 = 15.
26/2 = 13 then 13+2 = 15.

@All.
Another logic is;
14 is divided by 2 and 9 divided by 3 similarly 26 is divided by 2; and again 15 is divided by 3. i.e 2, 3, 2, 3.
