9 * 2 = 18 - 4 = 14.
Hence, 26 + 4 = 30/2 = 15
So, 15 is the answer.
Hence, 26 + 4 = 30/2 = 15
So, 15 is the answer.

14:9::26:x.
9 * 26 = 14 * x
234 = 14 * x
x = 234/14
x = 16.7.
So, approximately x=15.
9 * 26 = 14 * x
234 = 14 * x
x = 234/14
x = 16.7.
So, approximately x=15.

So, why not 31?
3 X 5 = 15 - 1 = 14.
2 X 5 = 10 - 1 = 9.
5 X 5 = 25 + 1 = 26.
5 X 6 = 30 + 1 = 31.
3 X 5 = 15 - 1 = 14.
2 X 5 = 10 - 1 = 9.
5 X 5 = 25 + 1 = 26.
5 X 6 = 30 + 1 = 31.

294/7=42 it means 7*6 = 42.
So 8 * 7 = 56 and 56 * 8 = 448.
So 8 * 7 = 56 and 56 * 8 = 448.

According to me, the solution is;
1+4=5, 5*2-1=9.
2+6=8, 8*2-1=15.
And I got the answer right.
1+4=5, 5*2-1=9.
2+6=8, 8*2-1=15.
And I got the answer right.

See 14, 9 and 26 are composite number then the next number should be composite. This means 31 and 13 cannot be an answer.
Now next,
14 is even.
9 is odd.
26 is even.
Then, the next number should be odd.
This implies the next number is odd i.e. 15.
