There is no error in here at all.

As said above, a teacher can either be male or a female. How can a gender be known at all without any anything specifies at all?

As per my knowledge, if somebody, someone, anybody, anyone, nobody, noone, everybody, everyone, then the pronoun is followed by his/him but in this case, there are no such words.
