The use of article 'The' in incorrect before newspaper because news is meant to be published in newspapers only.

I think that 'will be certain' is correct because it is 'if' the nuclear war breaks out. It is a condition.

The fixed expression many a/an is more formal than the single word many, and it is much less common. Many a/an is used mainly in literary writing and newspapers. Like the adjective and pronoun many discussed above, many a/an is used to indicate a large number of something. However, it takes a singular noun, which can be followed by a singular verb. Here are some

Examples:

It remained a mystery for many a year [= for many years].

I've been there many a time. [= many times].

Many a politician has promised to make changes. [Politician and has are singular].

"Many a times", "the end of the world is certain".

I think a would be the answer because many is a indefinite pronoun which is always used for plural forms so instead of has there should be have.

There should be "nuclear was broken out" because after was we can't use present tense verb using s or es.
