Statement: "You are hereby appointed as a programmer with a probation period of one year and your performance will be reviewed at the end of the period for confirmation." - A line in an appointment letter.
Assumptions:
- The performance of an individual generally is not known at the time of appointment offer.
- Generally an individual tries to prove his worth in the probation period.
Answer: Option
Explanation:
The performance of the individual has to be tested over a span of time as the statement mentions. So, I is implicit. The statement mentions that the individual's worth shall be reviewed (during probation period) before confirmation. So, II is also implicit.

Only option 1 is correct because, in 2 assumptions, it is talking about the individual worth how can we assume that the individual is trying to prove his worth there is no clue about this. That's why only assumption 1 is correct.

Here it is written, "your performance will be reviewed".
The word reviewed is significant here!
Clearly, it suggests that at the time of appointment, the performance is known to the company so statement 1 should not be implicit.

1. If the statement 2 is correct, then why is the performance to be checked at the end of the probation period?
2. All the persons selected might not be working for the betterment of his careers. so generally may fail, especially with this particular company.

According to me, both the sentence are implicit because at the time of interview we only know an employee capability but during probation period we will be able to know the intensity of an employee which are generally hidden. An employee capability is better seen in pressure.
