Confidence is a positive belief in oneself and one's abilities. It comes from a genuine understanding of one's strengths and experiences.

On the other hand, overconfidence refers to an excessive or unwarranted belief in one's abilities, often without proper justification or evidence.

In short, confidence is a healthy and balanced belief in oneself, whereas overconfidence potentially unrealistic perception of one's abilities.
