Confidence is when you do something that knows you can do it at hundred percent (100%) and you do it efficiently and effectively without having to face mistake or failure. While Over Conference is trying to do something you know well in more hundred percent 100% (100%+) and you started eagerly, proudly and arrogantly but you fail to do it as required.

I think confidence would be to do a task given without hesitation and knowing that you'll complete it. Over-confidence would be when you become too big for your boots, tend to be cocky, rushing into things than getting it all wrong.

Confidence means take your past mistakes and overcome with confidently.
Over confidence means for example your working in a team of both testing and development you are in development module and also aware of testing modules but with out talking help from testing members, you go with extreme step that is over confidence.

Being a fresher, comparing himself with a fresher is a good one.

Suppose I think I can do this work is terms as confidence. If I think I only can do this work in the sense it is definitely overconfidence.

Here confidence is thinking about we can do confidently but over confidence is we can do any thing in anyway and thinking ourselves everything will be right.
