According to me, confidence means positive thinking, Example: I can do that given work on time.
And Overconfidence means over positive thinking, eg: no one can do this task except me.

Confidence is when we feel sure about our actions and make the right decisions.
We believe in our ability to do something and have faith in ourselves.
On the other hand, overconfidence is excessive belief in our abilities, overlooking the fact that we can be wrong too.

Confidence is like I will complete my work with all my efforts and over confident is like no one keep effort like me on given task I can only finish it no other. Here we can take turtle and rabbit story as an example.

Confidence is the inner factor of every person which we don't show in front of the person and it reaches our perfect goal. For example, if I hard work then I will surely get the job. (with positive attitude and self-motivated).
On the other hand, overconfidence our external image which we easily realize that we have. Which is never reach our destiny. It spoiled our way of our life. For example, I know I have got the job for sure. No one can with me (without any hard work).

Confidence is when you do something that knows you can do it at hundred percent (100%) and you do it efficiently and effectively without having to face mistake or failure. While Over Conference is trying to do something you know well in more hundred percent 100% (100%+) and you started eagerly, proudly and arrogantly but you fail to do it as required.

I think confidence would be to do a task given without hesitation and knowing that you'll complete it. Over-confidence would be when you become too big for your boots, tend to be cocky, rushing into things than getting it all wrong.

Judging oneself if comfortable to do a task and then giving response that I can do is confidence.
Overconfidence is giving positive response that I can do without any proper judgment of oneself.

Confidence is when you're sure about something, for example, being able to solve a coding problem.
Over-confidence carries an air of arrogance and stupidity. It's when you're excessively confident about something; for example, thinking you can crack an extremely tough paper in one go, even though you don't have sufficient knowledge/skills required for clearing that paper.
