Confidence:

Example. If you give me this job I will do something or to work in your company without any hesitation. It means confidence.

Overconfidence:

Example. When I join in your company I m sure I can do easily all work. It is easy for me to work because I know everything.

Confidence implies believing in yourself that "I can do it. " but at the same time not losing any chance to improve on yourself, taking advice from appropriate sources and persons and hard work towards one's goal. On the other hand, over confidence makes one believe that they are on the peak and can never fall. They think that there's nothing more to improve on yourself. That's where over-confidence results in fall.

There exists a very slight boundary between the two but its plays one of the most vital roles in deciding one's future!

Confidence: If you are trying to achieve something, you know you can and still working hard to achieve it. It's confidence.

Over-confidence. If you say you can achieve your goal but not working hard enough then it's over confidence.

If I will say, "I can do it" this is confidence. And if I will say "only I can do it" it's overconfidence.

Confidence is that I can do any work which you will assign.

Overconfidence only I can do this work and no one can do this work so that is the over-confidence.
