In my opinion, confidence is to prepare before attending an interview and then see a possibility of getting the job while overconfidence is to attend an interview without preparation and still expecting oneself to get the job.

Sir, Confidence is the good trait to have where a person is sure about his course of action or activity and it comes from past success and right decisions.

Preparing for something and having a feeling that you will perform well at it is confidence and not preparing for something but still thinking that you will perform excellently at it is over confidence.
