What is the difference between confidence and over confidence?

Confidence - I can do it.

Overconfidence - only I can do it.

Sir, according to me.

"I can do" is confidence.

"Only I can do" is overconfidence.

There is no difference between confidence and overconfidence because if you succeed you are praised for your confidence and if you fails overconfidence term used to blame.

Confidence when I am taking challenges and preparing for this.

On the other hand overconfidence means I am throwing challenges without preparation.

There is a slightly thinner line between confidence and overconfidence.

For Example 'I can do that Job' is confidence but 'Only I can do that' this is overconfidence.

So you have to always try to avoid the overconfident thing.

Confidence gives the person courage and motivation to work hard.

Where as over confidence will never let the person to work hard and it may also reduces the chances of getting success.

I will do it is confidence.

Only I can do it is over confidence.

Confidence is being comfortable in your own skin and expressing yourself without feeling insecure or nervous. It comes when one knows one's strengths as well as faults and accepts them to improve oneself.

Overconfidence is when a person 'believes' that he/she is right every single time and that there's nothing the others 'need' do, but follow him/her happily.

If the interviewer says something like, "If you can do it, there are a hundred others who can do it too. Why should we choose you and not them?".

If you say because I can do it better than others, the interviewer might twist your reply to mean that you are over-confident.

What to say in such situations? Maybe you can say "Because I'm special! You will find it during my work and never regret your choice".

I want to explain with an example.

I will win means it's confidence.

Only I will win means it's overconfidence.

And also we can say that if you say confidently, you have some knowledge about that. But you have known nothing but you are saying confidence means we can say it as overconfidence.

I am the right person for this job this is confidence.

Only I am the right person for this job this is overconfidence.

Confidence means I can do it because I have complete knowledge about it and over confidence means when we committed that I will do it without any knowledge.
