What is the difference between confidence and over confidence?

Confidence is "I can do it" attitude, while over confidence is "only I can do it "attitude of a person. Confidence is necessary for the person to gain success while overconfidence can ruin one's success.

Let me tell you a example :

I can do this (confidence).

I can only do this (over confidence).

Confidence is being comfortable in your own skin and expressing yourself without feeling insecure or nervous. It comes when one knows one's strengths as well as faults and accepts them to improve oneself.

Overconfidence is when a person 'believes' that he/she is right every single time and that there's nothing the others 'need' do, but follow him/her happily.

If the interviewer says something like, "If you can do it, there are a hundred others who can do it too. Why should we choose you and not them?".

If you say because I can do it better than others, the interviewer might twist your reply to mean that you are over-confident.

What to say in such situations? Maybe you can say "Because I'm special! You will find it during my work and never regret your choice".

Confidence means having a belief in oneself and believing in the things that we are doing is correct.

Where in, overconfidence is writing the exam without preparation with the great hope of getting a 100% outcome.

According to me, confidence is something with which you boldly or fearlessly face or tackle a situation.

And over-confidence is tackling a situation without proper knowledge about it.

I will try to complete this work in 5hrs, is the confidence.

I will complete this work within 5hrs, is the over confidence.

Confidence shows fact, knowledge.

Over confidence shows fake attidude.

According to me; Confidence is Task-oriented,

Overconfidence is Fame and Ego-oriented.

Confidence means I am the person suit for this job.

Over confidence means I am the only person suit for this job.

Confidence - Any word was spoken with self-respect.

Overconfidence - ego attached with self-respect.
