Confidence means a self-belief that I can do it and to be ready for everything with that attitude and hope.
Overconfidence is excessive self-assurance means, they believe that they are more talented, and skilled than they are.

I am sitting here for the interview along with 100's of candidates if I say, I performed well I may get selected means it's confidence rather if I say, I will be the only person going to be selected means it's over confidence.

Well, according to me in short confidence means "I can do this work' and overconfidence means "ONLY I can do this work' and also confidence more than required is harmful and that's called overconfidence. That's the difference.

In my opinion, confidence is to prepare before attending an interview and then see a possibility of getting the job while overconfidence is to attend an interview without preparation and still expecting oneself to get the job.

Confidence literally means reality. We don't need to talk, the result of our work will give the answer to every question.
Over confidence is virtuality. We imagine more than what really happens and overtalks about everything.

Confidence is something that makes you believe that you can do a particular thing whereas when overconfidence comes into play it makes you believe that only you can do a particular thing & no one else is capable as you are.
