Yes! India definitely needs dictatorship because a country's development need suggestions but not advices of each individual. There will always be pros and cons of each decision taken. For instance why do we have elections at each level? to elect at area level then at state level then at country level. Electing one politician has become a tug of war right inside the country which literally weakens the strength of our country, instead if we have one dictator or rather a leader to rule but with that too, many citizens wouldn't agree so an alternative to that might be in such a way that a citizen do not lose his/her list of freedom but still they are bound to laws of country which might be decided by the dictator. Talking about the dictator might be elected directly instead of electing between two political parties. If the dictator works with a wrong motif for a country then it is possible, that individual can be dethroned and can be considered the least respected citizen. So the idea is to keep India under part Dictatorship.

Yes, India needs dictatorship because main problem of this country is population, we should talk about population reduction. We should take extreme measures to control population like only child or stopping child birth for next 5 years. I think if sanjay Gandhi would have been alive this country would be different place all together. Bad luck for India he died so soon.

No, the country needs dictatorship. India is already doing well. Also, corruption is not a big problem.

Illiteracy is. If we can just provide an opportunity for education to each and every citizen it is enough. I m not talking about quality education just a not too low-level education. This is enough. We don't have our views and we all are not able to go into politics and correct it. You or I are of this much capable most of the people are not. If we can just do this.

More than 1 billion educated Indians can change the entire planet.

Democracy applies only for wise people and not for foolish and evil people. Evil people take advantage of democracy for their own concerns by exploiting foolish people. India comprises of these three kinds of people where democracy has become a mess. A Wise Dictator can change India by having strict rules by the fear of which foolish people will follow the right path and evil people will be jailed. By the strict law and order, minority of evil people will be prosecuted for the good of majority citizens and India can become a peaceful happy nation.

Hello everybody,

Democracy is more reliable over Dictatorship, if Dictatorship falls into wrong hands, then we will have our hands tied and will be unable to react to the situation.

I would strongly contradict to what 'We Wake' (6th comment below me) said, imagine what would happen if Dictatorship falls in such hands? It should not be an eradication of a particular community or creed, rather it should be concerned with peacemaking between various communities and creed.

With the current situation of our politicians and nature of politics, It is notorious to have a Dictatorship. And for sure it will push the country into a civil war situation. When the people of the nation is not cooperating or, dealing with some rebel groups, dictation is required.

Here the real culprits are the upper crest society, corporates, diplomats, politicians, and mafias. Common people are always ready to comply and even ready to adapt to new changes based on the benefits.

So if you push dictation, the full force will not touch any of the real culprits. Due to their political influence and wealth, they will receive first class treatment even in a dictatorship. Only the middle class and common people will face the crushing effects of pure dictation. And ultimately they will get even frustrated and finally end up starting a revolt.

And also our politicians are extremely selfish and crooked. So giving full control in their hands is an absolute suicide.

Even now also is not the majority people expect a dictatorship, it's a small group of people with fanatical ideas demanding a dictation.

But whatever the case, dictation will wound the country so badly. And it would never be cured under any circumstances.

Currently, India is reeling under corruption and overpopulation. So long as the population grows at an alarming rate, the progress of the country will be at snail's pace and will be dependent on other developed countries and still will remain a developing country. I have seen progress and drastic changes in Iraq when Saddam was ruling. In dictatorship one man lists for power but in a democratic country all leaders behave like wild dogs and try to eat from one plate in the process spilling everything and used to none. Everone will try to loot as much as-as possible.

Hello Everyone,

I strongly feel that India needs a patriotic dictatorship. As some of you are saying that there risk of the wrong person getting the power. My dear people, we are still taking that risk in democracy & we are getting failed every time.

I just want to ask "is this democracy doing any good to you?, can your children go out in the night? Etc. I have lots of questions regarding that but I don't want to take so much of time.

Actually, we are the hurdles in full development, because we take everything for granted, Just one example, Like breaking the traffic rules. We know that it can be very much damageable for us or anybody else but we just do it. We are becoming very stubborn in not following the law & we are not going to follow the law unless of until we are afraid for our own life. For that, I think we need a dictatorship.

There is the old saying "If You want something good, you will have to lose something" & I totally believe in this.

If we want a good future than we will have to take this risk. I know it will create lots of chaos, but it will surely change for good.

According to me, Within the Next 10 Years India will be under Dictatorship and the next 10 years It will become BHARAT (Notice the difference between India Hindustan and Bharat) They all are same nation physically but Totally different Politically and Culturally. India will be under Dictatorship and that's for sure because For the Full and complete development of the nation not only will the Government be responsible but more importantly the citizens of the nation because as we cannot clap with one hand, development cannot take place with just one authority. We need to go back to our culture i.e. from India to Bharat. And some really tough decisions are to be made in order to get this done and Dictatorship is the only way out.
