Should Tainted Ministers Allowed to Contest Elections?

I think tainted minister should be barred from contesting election. They are mainly responsible for tarnishing the image of this field. In country like ours where voters are not aware of the power of their votes, lured by tainted people by distributing money etc. At the time of election and go on to win the election. After that they openly trade their charges, criticize judiciary and most importantly use their power and position to alter the investigation.

I think it would be good if they must submit their resignation first on the moral ground and if they come out clean then they should be reinstated in their office.

As all my friends have said, its really true. And why we should we take a risk, by selecting such so called leaders(politicians). Each and every one knows what actually is going on. even after knowing all these ,there are people who just for the sake of money vote such people. A single vote really values a lot. So, its our minimum responsibility to think twice before we vote, because of a single mistake everyone of us have to suffer. And no one has right to make others suffer, for the mistakes done by them.

I think tainted ministers should not be allowed to contest elections because he/she can only harm the society by bribing the voters, rigging etc. History shows that tainted politicians maybe adroit but they use their wit and writ to make money only for themselves by getting involved in all sorts of illegal activities. They also end up manipulating laws for the fear of being implicated.

So I think it is up to us, the voters to make sure that these ministers DO NOT take part in elections.

In my opinion no tainted minister should be allowed to contest election, cause they will defame the reputation of our country in front of the world. On other country will wants to conduct any kind of business with our country, for those corrupt ministers we face many problems & there are many examples of it.

We really need a perfect minister who can make our country proud in front of the world & all foreign companies will like to conduct many types of business in our country.

Of course not. We don't need a tainted politician's participation in general election. It leads the country more to darkness. India is a country leading the world in business, technology, science, research. So we also have youngsters having creative mind and no corruption record.

In my view, its the duty of election commission not to accept the candidature of a person having criminal and corruption records and it should give chance to those persons whom the country needs alot.

The entailed ministers should not be elected by us because a minister who is tainted and is involved in sum short of corruption should be allowed to contest vote. And we have started against this.

NOTA - None Of The Above this is what ANNA Hazare has asked the Election commissioner to feed in the EVM. So that if a voter finds any one tainted. He/she will not cast and will choose NOTA. How one who is tainted should be left free to decide the future of their electorate?

I truly agree that tainted person can not be the minister.Youth is the biggest power of India so we will utilize it while choosing minister.I think the minister's background and character should be checked first.Like ANNA HAZARE's team,there should be group of people Who will find legal and loyal person among the nominated persons for ministry.The NOTA option should be there in EVM so youth can choose none of the above persons are eligible for ministry of INDIA.

Friends I think, the one who has lost his own path and future, Cant set a path and future for the others. So I will say, that these tainted ministers or corrupt ministers should be restricted from being a part of a election.

Because, this will be a strict warning for those who are even thinking of playing with the emotions of the masses. They should be banned to participate in election, this will surely a boon so as to develop a corruption free nation.

Obviously not. If a tainted politician wins the election he will get more chance to do more illegal and hostile activities and it will badly affect our society and country. For a developing country like India, the selection of a tainted leader may lead our country towards economical, social and cultural breakdown. So the election commission must cancel the candidature of tainted politician and select the right candidate to save our country.

Strictly speaking a big NO..why a minister who is tainted and is involved in sum short of corruption should be allowed to contest vote.And we have started against this .
