I think the problem of tainted minister needs to be nipped in the bud at the stage of elections to the parliament/state assemblies. If no one who has corruption and other criminal cases pending against him/her is allowed to contest the election, the problem will be solved both at the legislative and executive levels. However, just the allegation of crime does not make someone corrupt or criminal. Often opponents and enemies of political leaders resort to making false allegations to prevent the person from contesting election. Here the problem lies with the courts which take years to decide on such allegations. Meanwhile candidates with corruption and criminal charges continue as legislators and some cases ministers. To solve this problem there should be a special Court only for political leaders, which should decide all such cases within a year. If it is not decided in a year, complaint should automatically lapse. In the present situation someone with serious charges continues as minister, MP and takes major public policy decisions. If later charges are proved and the person is penalised, decisions taken by him/her cannot be negated. Political parties should also carry some responsibility for this. It is a surprise why it should not be possible for political parties to find sufficient number of well qualified, experienced, honest and highly motivated candidates to fight elections on their behalf. Why parties are compelled to give tickets to persons highly tainted? It could be for financial reasons. In some countries the state provides finance to political parties to fight elections so that neither the candidate or the party needs to secure finance from others in return for favours.
With strong initiative by important political leaders these problems cand be greatly minimized, if not eradicagted alltogether.

Good Morning Folks.
According the current economic, social and civil condition of the country, it is of utmost importance that we have complete knowledge about the political candidates' background as well as criminal cases pending against them in the courts. India being a democracy, cannot implement and execute any rule which bares people with criminal cases and such other issues pending from contesting the elections. If this is done then, it would no longer be a democracy and wage a war in itself which may possibly cause a civil war.
In today's scenario, 30% of candidates contesting Lok Sabha Elections have such derogatory issues against them, which increase to 31% when looked at Vidhan Sabha candidates.
There have been cases of candidates wanting to contest elections who are on probation.
The only solution that lies in front of us in the world's largest democracy is not to bring them in power during elections. If we are only so much concerned about the welfare of our generation and the welfare of the country in the upcoming decades, we need to do what is right.
If this has not been done in the past, then, there is always the first time.
The solution lays within ourselves which nobody but we can make do.
It is never too late to do the right thing.
Agreed that allegations do not make anyone a criminal, but does not it get too late before a verdict on the same is received, so why take a risk with the future of the country.

I think that tainted politicians must not at all allowed to contest elections at all. And if they are allowed to do so them all criminals must be released from the jail to contest elections. Moreover these politicians are also corrupt as well. And I think that our present government should also think on this topic as there are only some leaders in the present who don't have any criminal cases and are also active in politics. Whenever I think on this topic I really get astonished that how are they standing in the elections.
Because letting them to contest elections means letting criminals to rule on our country as I had mentioned before. Has our government had allowed them to contest elections?Or has our constitution had allowed them to do so? you only think that what will happen to our country if it would ruled by criminals. Will our country progress? No not at all! So I request you all that if you are affected by my comment and wanted the progress of your country so please be at least somewhat of aggressive towards this topic. Because as you all know progress of our country results in our progress only! Hence this my 'HUMBLE' request to you all readers please think about this topic.

I think a big NO will satisfy the answer.
Actually its nothing but the ill fate of our nation that few donkeys i.e. corrupted politicians decide the future of the nation. The people who themselves are illiterate decides the future of lakhs and crores of literate people. This is a bitter truth.
According to me these convicted people should never be allowed to contest elections and their ticket should be cancelled for lifetime. I mean How one can expect that a person who himself is indulged in criminal activities is going to remove the crime from the nation or constituency? It is nothing but the fault lies also with the judgement of common people who select these candidates. I mean how they believe that a person who himself is a rapist, will build a rape free state!".
So that the best solution is to restrict them from participating in the elections, so that there is no chance of getting selected. Also there should be proper law to check whether a person is guilty or not to ensure that innocent people can't be proved guilty. The provision for special courts can do the work!
Thank you.

Hello friends,
Since the tainted person has winged strong fear on respective constituency. Apart from that they lure voters by offering money to us and we are so much fool that we accept their offer and allow them to extort us for next five years. Some bully contestant are also on battle ground who have many criminal charges. Even Though they come to assembly.
Firstly it should be taken care by party presidents who give ticket to such criminals in other words. Inspite of that if they get a chance to fight then we people should make them realise that how much our votes worth. Actually they contestant are not fight with one another, they are with us. If we choose a good and loyal person to send in assembly then we can ask one about our rights. Afterall he is opted by us to serve us not to rule us. So tainted people should definitely restricted to fight.
Inflation, corruption, unemployment, poverty etc all the odds appear just because of this sort of people. So protect them to reach them to assembly house and wipe out all these evils.
Thank You.

No tainted politicians should not be allowed to contest in the election as it will not only lead to corruption but will also defame our country's reputation in front of the world and thus would effect our relations with foreign countries, as no country would like to conduct any kind of business with the country run by criminals.
But at the same time we should also perceive that whether the politician is really corrupt or he is merely a victim of dirty politics.
Thus a politician's past profile itself do not reflects his actual character because it may have been tampered by other dirty politicians, due to which an honest person is portrayed as a devil.
Hence based on our prevailing weak law and order we cannot restrict tainted candidates to contest in elections.
At last I think that the ultimate power lies in the hand of common man, and he should cast his vote based on his conscience and belief in the person he is voting for.
Thank you.

Obviously no. The young generation is very much aware of the politics and their ill effects on common man, and they will not tolerate any wrong decision taken by those (ministers) which cause harm to citizens. The reason why the tainted person not to allow for elections is because that since he is already tainted he will surely use his power to win the election and there is more probability of his winning. Why? Because we, the young generation, do not vote, and those vote are either unconscious or forcefully driven to vote for specific individual (obviously by feeding some money). So the result is clear. The tainted people have to come as winners because trained people are either pressed down or they don't contest elections.
So in order to save our (mother) India from those tainted (later become "corrupted politicians") we have not to allow those people fro elections.

It is a fatal risk if we allow a tainted minister to contest elections!
A tainted minister if given another chance, will obviously try to follow the same shortcut path without thinking of the shame he felt in the past. And moreover this time he will take every care to carry out his dirty plans effectively. So how can we lend our state to a person who is already covered in the cloth of shame!
Even a class chooses the brightest student as a monitor, i.e. A person who has a clear record in his class. Monitoring a nation is a still tougher task than monitoring a class. Then it is stupid to think that a tainted minister be allowed to contest elections!
Taking the case in which the minister is really ashamed on his deeds, he can serve his country in an another way, if he wants to. It is not necessary to re-allow him to contest elections, YES or NO!

Hello everyone.
Well I think that the answer lies upon the definition of tainted people. If tainted means that he has been proved of his crime and has faced his punishment then, I don't think that he should be prevented from contesting elections. Because he has faced his punishment then as per law how is a good man. How ever if the tainted means that there are accusations on him and has not been proven then also we can't stop him to participate in elections because the accusations may be false.
So I don't think that we can stop him to contest in the elections. However if he is of criminal nature the the local people usually know about that. And they should prevent him to win the sheet in lok sabha.
