Well, population growth in India is declined quite well.
And India possesses 47 per cent of world's youth. If we look at China, which once was suffering from a population explosion, now giving incentives to its citizens to get married and produce babies.
Because in the past years, China has drastically alleviated poverty from its country and since 1978 it has got 75 per cent of its under-poverty population to the middle class or upper.
So it is simple to understand when there is less poverty or no poverty there is automatically less population growth rate.
It is to be believed that if govt fixed its policies to help people under the poverty line, the country's issues like population growth and gender inequality will automatically either disappear or will reduce remarkably.
Or otherwise it's easy to say that it is unemployment because of its population growth. And this is simply to hide the negligence of the government itself.

In my opinion, India should not adopt a one-child policy as we know India is no.1 in population and most of them are youth and youth have a major role in the development of our country first the one-child policy started in China and many people kill their girl child or having an abortion they only want one boy child and in India without the one-child policy, many people don't want a girl child so that's why India should adopt two child policy rather than one child policy so our country developed and maintained the population as well.

In my point of view, should India have one child policy because this is a time of inflation if you wanna give better knowledge, better things then you should have money if you have only one child you can provide him/her all the facilities.
Nowadays the population is a big problem cause of population Government is unable to provide all facilities and employment.
If you wanna say that they don't have siblings they who loved him who will play with him/her then I wanna say that if parents have only one child then they can love him/her a lot and play with him even if the child can play with their cousin.
That's why. Should India have a one-child policy?

I think with adapting this policy we would be directly triggering the female infanticide in rural areas, as illiterate people would always wish to have succeeders to grow a family tree.

Yes,
Advantages of Implementing a One-Child Policy in India.
For the Child:
-> Enhanced quality of life, education, and healthcare.
-> Increased opportunities for development.
-> Better emotional well-being.
-> A more sustainable environment for future generations.
For the Country:
-> Population control to stabilize and reduce growth.
-> Boosted economic growth and reduced poverty.
-> Improved healthcare and education services.
-> Preservation of natural resources and environment.
-> Enhanced infrastructure and resource allocation.
In summary, a one-child policy in India can benefit both individual children and the nation as a whole by promoting a higher quality of life, economic stability, and sustainable development. Careful implementation is essential to balance individual rights with broader societal needs.

Hello.
For me the current policy “hum do hum are do” is good for the present situation but in the next 5 to 6 years this should be applied to each and every citizen of our country because now we have crossed China in terms of population with fewer amounts of land and economy from them.
For me, our future generations will be at war for land.

Hello Everyone,
I am Harsh Ghosh, And I want to start the group discussion with completely disagreeing on the matter "Should India have a One Child Policy?".
As the matter of fact It posses serious threat to girl child as most family would want to have a boy to continue their legacy or inherit their possessions. And also support in them in their old days. But with one child that being a girl child, they may become insecure and my consider "FOETICIDE".
Certainly this policy would help in population control but the sex ratio would extremely disturbed.

Hello I am Digvijay.
So basically we all are gathered here to have a group discussion on the topic - should India have a one-child policy.
I am not in favor of this policy. I think we need to understand the situation and why we need to apply the policy. Nowadays situations are people are jobless, but that does not mean they are useless they also can do well, and live their lives happily.
So rather than see towards that policy we should to go for upgrading new technology that will eventually upgrade the youth. And it's not limited to population. We know countries like China, Japan are the countries with large populations they are in a way better position than compared with other countries because of technology.
So basically rather than looking for such policies we should go for the developing the the more areas where the innovation can be happens, there are mass awareness programs we can arrange so that will helpful for todays youth to be innovative look, find more opportunities.

Hey everyone, I am Adarsh.
I think India does not need a one-child policy because looking at the data the birth rate in India has fallen over the years and is now 2.1 which is exactly equal to keeping the number of people constant. Also, the child policy can have a very adverse impact on the sex ratio, China is the perfect example here. Because of the one-child policy the sex ratio has changed over the years and is one of the worst in the world, there a approximately 30 million more men than women. Also, the Indian population can be a great resource for the fast development of the country at a time when developed countries are facing a crisis of older population.

At my point of view, India should not follow the one-child policy instead of this they have to make a policy that not to have more than two children. Because the child doesn't feel unsafe and lonely. And you can easly takecare of then and give them time.
