Hello,

I want to say that most of the people in India speak Hindi and Hindi is our mother tongue so Hindi should be the official language of India.

According to me, Hindi should be the national language. It is a fact that around 42% of people of India use Hindi as their mother tongue and rest are Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telegu etc. So we have known Hindi is the majority language and it is already famous for all and can be easily understandable, yes it can be a little bit hard for South Indian states but if they try it must be easy. Most of the developed countries maintain national language and another regional language as well. Without a national language, how can we become a nation?

So we should favour Hindi as the national language, English is the second official language and then another regional language. Thank you.

Hi friends,

Yes, Hindi is an official language of India to connect all people at a place. There are many other languages which are being spoken by the people in India and it is very difficult to convey all people at a place so this is the best way to connect all people at the place using one particular language.

Thanks.

Hello everyone,

In my opinion, Hindi should not be an official language in India, because there are lots of people in India who can't speak Hindi, there are many different cultures and different languages like Tamil, Punjabi, Urdu, Kannada etc in India, as we all know India is a diversified country, so Hindi should not be official language. But we should proud on the Hindi language.

First of all, what do we understand by the term official language? It can be referred as a common language which can be used in all the government sectors throughout the nation. Taking Hindi into consideration it can be used as official language considering majority of the people know Hindi. But the people who don't know cannot be ignored and in South Indian states, people don't use Hindi as the common language for communication.

There is no harm in keeping Hindi as the official language alongside English and a local language of the particular state. There can be one or more official languages implemented.

The thing that we first need to understand is that language is just the expression of speech, it is what one speaks and what other understands. Every culture has its own language, there is no harm in making hindi the official language of hindustan. Hindi is in the name of hindustan itself.

Learning other languages is what embraces one's peesonality, enhances the abilities, but what the actual need is that people should not forced to learn a particular language. It should depend on people's own Will.

The mindset of considering a person inferior and 'gawar' who if he or she doesn't know english should be changed.

Hello, myself Aman. I want to say that Hindi should be our national language because there are many people in our country who can work hard, have good ideas, have good knowledge but they don't know how to speak English so they can't able to communicate with higher authority. There is a communication gap among these people with higher authority but those have capacity to deal with external world must know English and to serve our Country Hindi should we our national language.

You can't simply stick to a single language where there are multiple languages in a country like India. Language is something which is used to convey our thoughts, both the speaker and listener should be in the same state when they try to share their thoughts. But most of us in the south don't know Hindi and we are not even ready to learn it. I don't think so Hindi is more superior than other languages.

No, as we all know each and every state of our nation has a unique language and pride associated with it and imposing a single language would go against the spirit of our nation and this in no way is demeaning hindi which is also a culturally rich and largely spoken language. Diversity is our strength and it must be kept intact.
