Role of Ethics in Business

Business ethics (also corporate ethics) is a form of applied ethics or professional ethics that examines ethical principles and moral or ethical problems that arise in a business environment. It applies to all aspects of business conduct and is relevant to the conduct of individuals and entire organizations.

Business ethics has both normative and descriptive dimensions. As a corporate practice and a career specialization, the field is primarily normative. Academics attempting to understand business behavior employ descriptive methods. The range and quantity of business ethical issues reflects the interaction of profit-maximizing behavior with non-economic concerns.

Who see's about ethics nowadays it is a word of the past long faded away recalled in the memories of very few as everybod nowadays knows how to just make their pockets heavy at the risk of others lives.

I also believe that ethics are vital to be there in an organization if it wants to survive for a long period of time.

But now a days, globalization has made things possible for different companies to do the business in any country and these companies don't care about the moral and ethical values that are supposed to be there in them.

Ethics : Nowadays who know that meaning of ethics in their business. Only pickup and gain their bank balance. It will make many dangerous feedback to nation and also a individual person's life.

Ethics is important to have its influence on business.... but it has no impact these days.. We can never also expect for its influence to b on all fields.. because its difficult these days to find some who initiates something good to happen :(:(

Ethics does not support your Buisness because there are many times. Where we have to compromise our ethics to run buisness. And c it happens to be most imp. For us to run our buisness rather than ethics. As time changes we must change. Ethics were valued at 19th century times. Now, only value is you are a success whether it may be from ethics or not. If you follow you are ethics then survival becomes. Difficult nd if you can survive then definetly you should follow ethics but it may be not possible all buisness. So, I believe ethics does not have much imp role in businesses.

Ethics = Succesful Business.

I think for an organisation to be successful it is important to ensure people working in a particular organisation is abiding by the ethics as stated by the company

People working in the company is under a lot of pressure of work that they may lose their controls leading to complicated situations so through business ethics people will try to be patient as their point of view will be respected.

If the worker's issues and satisfaction is taken into consideration it makes them to do their work with more dedication.

Ethics gifts an organisations with a goodwill and credibility.

From the point of view of public, their concern is about how the company fulfil their interests, satisfaction and requirements.

But the most important thing they see is whether the company is concerned about social responsibility, safety and emotions among their workers or in society.

The word, 'Ethics' means principle. Principles are made to guide people towards peace and prosperity. But it is not apt for a business man to follow ethics. Once it was appreciated whereas today it vanishes from the minds of the business man. It is too difficult for the business man to follow ethics to gain profit.

I'm Arpita and from my point of view, Ethics is very important in all companies and in life also. Ethics is helpful for the company to run in the long term and for stability in profit and growth. But without ethics company run but stability and security is not there. Many people say the company can only be profitable if it is unethical and ethical companies are not much profit earning.

But in my opinion, that's wrong because ethics are the moral values, principles, culture, and beliefs that everyone be followed in their own life. And if the company is run in ethical values, and culture then it makes people trust this company which ultimately leads to the growth and profit of the company.

So, Ethics is more important than only focusing on profit.

According to me, ethics is the only to create a vision of an organisation, because it is all about how an organisation treat their employee and most importantly their targeted audiences if they provide benefits to them then surely the company will lead for a long period of time.

The very known example of this is JIO launched by Reliance Industries Limited, they have provided the utmost benefit to their consumers, and we can see that Reliance revenue is very much high.
