Hi Everyone. Yes, I would say retention of employee is necessary in today's world.

1. Employees are asset for any company. If he gets good money for his services then he definitely gives his 100%.

2. Employees are not only working hard but they are also emotionally engaged with the organisation.

3. Yes, I know now a days every one is professional in his field and looking for best opportunities always. However after some point of time he needs stability instead o changing the jobs.

4. Corporate companies offers reward/incentives for the employees who stay connected for long time.

5. Changing the job frequently is not good for individual as well as for the organisation. The company spends time and money on new employees and it becomes waste when the employee lefts the organisation. In same way for the employee it is not a good sign and it raise question on his ability.

6. Staying with the organisation for long time allows employee to gain good amount of knowledge which surely helps him for future growth.

So in my point if view retention of employee is necessary for any organisation. Thanks.

I do agree with above mention points that retention of employee is the utmost important thing for companies and for this companies need to increase their employee satisfaction rate score by conducting one o one of each member of team with manager, need to listen and understand the voice of common employee, appraise them for their good work by small token of rewards, monthly or quarterly team outing plans to increase team bonding and trust between management and employee's.

Retention of employee come through there working environment and their management. Being a employee I can understand about breathing space in our regular life often we need change and that will play a vital role in employee sustainability which is only provided by employer.

Now a days employer need 1:10 ratio of result. They focus only on achievement part not effort putting by employees.

They should keep focusing in both part target and their achievement with employee sustainability.

Employees are the assets of the organisation. Since the attrition rate is high, organisation must understand the various causes for this problem. When Cadbury conducted a survey last year, it was found that around 65% of the employees working in the organisations are not satisfied with the quality of work. When employees feel that something beneficial can be obtained from the organisation for their efforts, they feel self of belonging and their commitment to the work also increases. Thus quality of work is another important reason along with the training and development, compensation provided, motivation level etc. If it can be solved, then retention of employees is also possible.

I Just want to add on here, we all know employees are the assets but somewhat it also depend on his/her superior. While talking about retention superior should have give him some responsible work, prompt him to take initiative apart from that he also would get in emotional touch with employees like asking about family or spouse.

I complelety agre with all of you that employees are indeed the biggest asset an organisation and so, employees' performance ultimately defines the success of an organisation.

As per the current trends, sectors like IT, BPO have a very high attrition rate. Companies spend a lot of employees right from their recruitment, training to motivating them etc and when en employee leaves, then it is a big loss for a company and this problem cannot be tackled just by hiring more people. This is because, it takes a lot of time for an employee to get adjusted to a particular organisation. So, the company needs to value its expereinced employees and try their best to retain them.

For this, the first important thig would be to try to find out the reasons for the attrition. The reasons can be:low compensation, low motivation, less challenging work etc. After finding the reasons, the organisation needs to work on it as soon as possible.

You know, Employees are valuable assets of the organization. The company should take care of employees and they should slso retain them properly. The company should think about welfare of the employees. They should satsfy their basic needs and aso their job security. They should develop their career of an individual in the organization. They should motivate the employees. So, in this way the company can retain efficient employees in the organization. Employees are the important and most valuable asset in the functioning of any company or any institute. The growth of the company, depends upon the employees. If your employees are happy, they will work more with more energy, which inturn will benefit the company, but if the employees are not happy, it can be reversed. So it very necessary for the company to keep its employees happy.

Human resource is the most valuable resource because the success of an organisation depends to a greater extent on the moral and interest of its employees towards work and the progress of the company.

The employees work efficiency increases when he is feels satisfied. Satisfaction comes only when he is ensured of his basics needs of food, shelter and job security.

When he is deprived of any of these basic physiological needs he losses faith in the organisation and as a result his efficiency deteriorates thereby causing an ultimate loss to the organisation.

Thus employee retention is mandatory since the employee with a secured job can contribute whole heartedly with out fear towards the uplift-ment of the company than a temporary employee. In case of incompetencies in employees suitable training may be provided in their field by the company than firing the employees off their job.
