Now I would like to add my views in this discussion, I really appreciate to all of your views. I know very well some of you are in favour of retention of the employees and some of you are not in favour of retention of the employees. But in my opinion I would like to say that retention of the employees is the most important task of every organisation.

But its depends on the ability, caliber, and work efficiency of the employee. If any employee is giving the best benefit to the company then in this situation the company will never loose such kind of these employees. Every organisation know perfectly about their employees. Who is most important for our company. What is the capacity, work efficiency, of the employees. Who is much more responsible towards his job. So that I want to say that if company feels that this employee will give us more and more then Company will sure retain his employee.

Hi Everyone. Yes, I would say retention of employee is necessary in today's world.

1. Employees are asset for any company. If he gets good money for his services then he definitely gives his 100%.

2. Employees are not only working hard but they are also emotionally engaged with the organisation.

3. Yes, I know now a days every one is professional in his field and looking for best opportunities always. However after some point of time he needs stability instead o changing the jobs.

4. Corporate companies offers reward/incentives for the employees who stay connected for long time.

5. Changing the job frequently is not good for individual as well as for the organisation. The company spends time and money on new employees and it becomes waste when the employee lefts the organisation. In same way for the employee it is not a good sign and it raise question on his ability.

6. Staying with the organisation for long time allows employee to gain good amount of knowledge which surely helps him for future growth.

So in my point if view retention of employee is necessary for any organisation. Thanks.

I am agreeing with your points and what I would like to say is that retention of employees are must for all organization, whether it is governmental, nonprofit, corporate is not a matter.

The employees are working for the organisation and in return they expect something from employers too. So the employers are liable to provide things to employees, that include good working environment, free food or subsidized food, career development opportunities, appreciate their work like salary hike, promotion, employee award of the months or year etc. Gatherings are also required to get the employees' relaxed like family gatherings, b'day parties etc.

The company need to know the employees' wish, understand their professional problems and try to resolve that. If the employees are satisfied with their current job, the company can reduce the attrition of employees to a certain extent.

Hi friends.

I think retention should be on the basis of a person performance means if a person is doing good for company that he/she should be retain but if he is not working according to his ability he/she should not be in company. Their should not be any kind of policy in a company.

Selection should be basis on the ability of a person not on the basis of employees basis phenomena. One who has ability to lead from front should be in company. So I think Retention of employees is not good. Guys what you think.

I do agree with retention of employee is necessary because if he/she has already given his precious time to company, then company has to think about them.

Organization has to think are they satisfy with their work?

Are they working in their comfortable zone?

Are they happy with compensation?

Do they have growth after spending 3 years with the organization.

If employee is not under this Umbrella the organization has to commit them for all above things. If organization is ready to fulfill their commitment then their is no problem for Retention.

Thank You.

I complelety agre with all of you that employees are indeed the biggest asset an organisation and so, employees' performance ultimately defines the success of an organisation.

As per the current trends, sectors like IT, BPO have a very high attrition rate. Companies spend a lot of employees right from their recruitment, training to motivating them etc and when en employee leaves, then it is a big loss for a company and this problem cannot be tackled just by hiring more people. This is because, it takes a lot of time for an employee to get adjusted to a particular organisation. So, the company needs to value its expereinced employees and try their best to retain them.

For this, the first important thig would be to try to find out the reasons for the attrition. The reasons can be:low compensation, low motivation, less challenging work etc. After finding the reasons, the organisation needs to work on it as soon as possible.

Hi everyone, I would like to share some strong points retention of employees is necessary at the workplace as per the employee ability and calibre. When As we know all depends on employees they make or break the company. At the workplace we should work as a team then we can achieve our goals single person can't achieve the Target so in my view we have to focus all employee.

We have some strong view.

1. The employee who is the best performer gives him some extra initiative and track weekly base rewards some gift like an employee of the month.

Give him some training schedule for the next label.

2. Who is a low performer do this guys service audit so that you can get to know about these employees who are performing poor?

And provide him with training where they need.

If an employee will get benefits towards their career never they will think about the live current organization. But we need to focus all staff because we believe in a team.

Thanks.

I do agree that employees are like an eye to the institution. They need to be dealt with great care. An institution without employees is like a two-wheeler with one tyre.

In my point of view, retention of employee is very necessary for any organization because of the following reasons-.

1. Employees are the asset to any organization, they play the role of backbone to the organization.

2. Whenever any employee joins an organization, he/she is been given induction and orientation programmes to understand the culture and work system of that organization, then the training and development is been provided to that employee so that he/she come to know about the methods and pattern which is been followed in that organization. And company spend a lot of money and time on that employee to make sure that the employee performs its best to it.

3. Sometimes it also happens that the organization doesn't want to lose that particular employee, the reason could be that the employee is giving his best to the organization and that became the reason that another competitor is doing headhunting, in that case, company offer that employee other attractive benefits or increase in salary.

So, this is few reasons why the company want retention of their employees.

Thank you.
