Hello everyone.
The main aim of a political system is to provide all-round growth to a society which in turn will lead to rise in status of each individual and providing strong foundation to nation but if "Religion is mixed with politics" the following side effects may a nation suffer.
1) An Uneven growth in the nation.
2) Rise in communal tension between different religion which can be a threat to nation peace.
3) Raising of such practices may even cause loss to humanity and people may get discriminated on the basis of religion in the time of need.
Moreover such kind of politics is raised by only those poltical parties whose first agenda is to meet their hunger for power and not in the improvement of society. On the above basis I want to conclude that religion should not be mixed with politics.

India is a secular state where all the religions have equal rights and no religion is preferred over the other.

According to me, religion should not mix with politics, for Example, Country like India which is multireligious, multicultural and diverse among the world because of politics its create communal tension between religions, last 69 years our politics playing around religion, which break the path of progress. We should keep national interest first then the religion. It is time to India grows our politics beyond religion, it all depends on our young generation I hope they will do it.

I don't feel good of indulging religion with politics. I completely condemn it.
Cast equalization in politics is getting prevelant thesedays. Politicians understand it completely that's why they convince us that they provide all benefits and rights if people elect them of same community. In contrary people is reason behind it. Politicians persuade us during election campaign and make us believe if they win, will provide better life to those community but repurcussion happens just opposite.

Hi, , myself Karthik.
Some sociologist referred "twin tolerance "which has been often used to define relation between religion and politics, some believe that modernity will eventually leads to decline of religious faith and the role of religion in public / private sphere. But in our nation, these are keywords in our society.
1. The idea of religion concerns the private sphere which pertains to individual faith and beliefs, whereas politics in the public sphere pertains to the wider community eg the larger nation.
2. The intrusion of religion into politics can monopolize some specific ideologies, which in turn create a rift in society. Eg; partition of our nation.
3. If religious ideologies perpetuates deeper into our politics it may turns into mass hysteria leading to the indoctrination of people. Eg; the second world war anti Semitism of Nazis for jewis.
4. In politics it creates a voter bank in the name of religion, which diminishes the idea of secularism.
5. Intermixing religion with politics may promote favouritism in the community.
In my view, religion in politics must be like value oriented but not power-oriented, as we can learn from the legacy of ASHOKA DHAMMA and AKBAR DIN -E-IIAHI. Further in India secularism is well comprehensively defined but we need to bring it into practice. However, religion should be treated like an individual sphere and the absence of discrimination against various religion and active opposition to communalism.

Politics should never be mixed with religion. Because religion is an individual's belief whereas politics are the beliefs of large groups.

I completely agree with the topic. The religion of a leader can never express his thoughts towards society or towards a particular community. In my view today's Young & intellect youth should understand that those politicians who demand votes in the name of religion are simply fooling them & should discard them. Votes should only be cast on the basis of their thoughts & ideas towards the development of the nation.

The fact is they are inseparable, they can't be separated by our will.
And looking for development there is no development possible by politics without proper principles and guidelines given by religion.
