While coming to polythene bag it comes to 2 aspects firstly environmental and secondly industrial. Coming to the environmental point of view plastic is nonbiodegradable and causes pollution but from an industrial point of view if polythene bag is banned it will affect the petrochemical industry the most and it will also affect the small industry which is dependent on plastic for there business. This without banning plastic bag we can follow 3R policies i.e. Reduce (we should try to reduce plastic and use alternative form like paper bag) next Reuse (we should not do single use of plastic but multiple-use as it to reduce amount of pollution) and the lastly Recycle (we should try to recycle plastic like we know that plastic, when mixed with road pitch, increases the road quality by 10 times.
Currently, I read in the newspaper that plastic is used for oil production. Thus we should look at various ways of recycling plastic not on banning plastic as it is not going to solve the problem of plastic.

Jai Hind Everyone.
My name is Aashish Kumar. I am from Himachal Pradesh.
Now, I am going to share my thoughts about, plastic should be banned because it is very harmful to our environment, not only for humans but also for animals and nature. Sometimes many animals eat these plastic bags, which results in death. It takes many times to decompose when we are buried in the soil or if we burnt it, it releases harmful gases like SO'and CO' which cause the greenhouse effect. Whenever we use plastic bags, we throw them in our surroundings which look so dirty and clumsy. If we throw it in the ocean, it also kills our marine lives. So, we should think about this regard and make use of paper and cloths bags. And we should apply the policy of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle which helps to reduce the use of plastic bags because we don't ban plastic bags totally because it has some benefits like easily carriable, waterproof, low cost, etc.
Thank you for reading my thoughts about this topic.

Dear friends here we are going to see about the serious and important topic about the avoid using of polythene covers.
As we already know that polythene covers cover is not degradable in the land. The plant feels difficulty in breathing and is very hard to grow.
Because of our irresponsible behaviour sometimes animals like cows and donkeys may eat those polythene covers, and they are affected by serious diseases.
The burning of polythene covers omit the toxic gasses which is more harmful for humans to breathe.
Only because of this burning of polythene covers, people are suffered from cancer, and many children are dies because of inhaling the toxic gas of polythene covers.
It is a punishable offence friend.
Only we can bring the upcoming generation with beautiful nature and so on.
I hope you came to know about the serious problem behind the usage of polythene bags. Hence friends make sure you are using jute bags.
Thank you friends.

Hi Guys,
We can not decide to see only one side each and everything has two faces to deal with and we do this. If we are calculating only minus points and after calculating one side we decide even something so it would not be useful for the society. Poly bags are common to use in the market and carrying goods withing it so it is very difficult to remove this habit from the fixed place but if we really wish to remove it so we can reduce it gradually in place of removing poly bags using some good ideas with it. Like we can use paper bags, cotton bags, a hick in a price of poly bags and there many more things to use in place of poly bags. If we are able to do these kinds of things so will not face any problem. We know that use of poly bags is very dangerous not only for human being but also all living things in the environment. Using poly bags and throw it carelessly stops the water flow and creates water logging problems etc.

Yes, polythene bags must be banned as they take 10,000 years to degrade and it is a long period of time for degradation while a banana peel takes just 2 days to degrade, leaves from plants, vegetable and fruit waste take less time to degrade as compare to polythene bag. Even if we are burying polythene bags in the soil for its degradation it will pollute soil and will lower the fertility of soil, and if we will burn the polythene bag it will create harmful and dangerous fumes which is injurious to human begins and animals as they pollute the air of surrounding. If by chance cow or any other animal intact that poly bag they may even die as this poly bag may choke their throat while they are trying to intact it. So polythene bags are only creating a problem in the environment and it is really very harmful so they need to be banned. Instead of polythene bags, we can use paper bags or cloth bags which are ecofriendly.

Hello friends.
I have done my 10+2 from sunshine school and right now I am pursuing BSC mathematics honours from Patliputra University and I am in the first year of it. My hobbies are playing football and Kabbadi. I am very passionate about arm forces and I want to join Indian airforce as an airman.
Friends, as we all know our today's topic is polythene bags, must be banned in my opinion polythene bags must be banned because the polythene bags are causing very bad effects of our environment. Plastic is an inorganic substance which cannot be destroyed by a simple method and it takes a lot of time to be degraded due to which polythene bags are a major cause of soil, water and air pollution. Instead of polythene bags, we can use paper bags or jute bags. By the use of paper or jute bags we also can reduce the air, water and soil pollution because paper and jute are organic substances and can easily be degraded.

No not necessary.
Because as citizens of Indian, what is our responsibility to not use it. If these kinds of compromises did not do by our people how we aspects the development of any country. Everyone knows it. It s harmful for animals, earth, environment, people's so I think it is a very small thing so not need to ban it's our responsibility.
Poison also kill the humans but anyone not demanding for the ban. Acid is used on people but no one is not demanding to stop manufacturing this, why polythene.
So I think it's our responsibility to not use, not the government.
There are paper bags, and cotton bags available why we are not buying these things.
If everyone is trying to pollute the environment then I am asking why the government have to spend money to clean it why. And what is your responsibility? So no need to ban it people are cheep mentality they are going to do this again and again.
Thanks.

I see everyone saying the same thing kept in a different perspective.
I feel banning polythene bags isn't the right choice to make.my points are,
1. A poor vendor in a market won't be able to sell his goods in paper bags(rs 5 per piece at least talking of which he would get at least some 10-20 covers of plastic).
2. Moreover, if we start using paper bags, there will be new industries set up to make them and this leads to deforestation.
3. We can still use polythene bags that are above 40 microns so they are not digested in the animals and they come out of the digestive system as it is.
4. I feel we must use some sort of essence that will make animals not to eat the plastic bag.
5. The best way to act against plastic would be to recycle and reuse the ALREADY existing plastic.
6. And the best way to use plastic is to make plastic covers or use them in laying roads.
THANKS.

Polythene bags must be banned as they are non-biodegradable and when burnt harmful gases such as greenhouse gases are produced which are responsible for global warming (which causes the increase in temperature of earth by forming a blanket of gases which trap sunlight) and also marine life is very much affected by the plastic fragments like polythene floating in water bodies and sometimes fishes and birds mistook as food and that got struck in throat or effects the digestive system and almost 8 million tons of plastic gets floated in water bodies every year and when plastic bags are drained into gutters they gets into pieces and from there they get into oceans and their the marine ecosystem gets affected and researchers have found plastic fragments in large amount of water animals like fishes which are consumed by humans thus the whole ecosystem getting affected.

Hello everyone, very good to all of you.
This is Ajay Kumar today my topic is polythene bag must be banned.
In my point of it should be banned but by and by rather than suddenly as we all know that plastic.
It is a non-biodegradable material. It can't decompose due to this it causes soil erosion. By burning this it produces harmful gases which cause air pollution which is not good for breathing. Many animals eat plastic due to the negligence of human beings cause death to the animals.
Like every coin has two faces, it also has two aspects by banning plastic it causes unemployment to the.
People who are working in those industries.
Before banning plastic we also have to find a substitute for plastic-like jute bags, paper bags, etc. By finding such opportunities we don't face a problem carrying things.
Thank you for reading my opinion.
