Hi everybody,

I think polyethene must be banned as recently I saw an incident just front of me it was too much scary because many individuals of society found a half dead on the road and cause was polyethene stuck in his throat it choked up his breath during having some chapati inside it. On the other hand, we keep on watching lot of news, posts on social media that how much dangerous it is for our pets directly and indirectly for us too.

Hi everyone,

Polythene bags must be banned because it is not decomposed in earth and it takes more time to decompose. Recently I heard one news in television, some workers are ground these polyethene bags and it is mixed with rice by this we attack with so many diseases. Suppose these are burned in the atmosphere, it produces pollution by this way ozone get damage.

HI.

I believe polyethene bags should not be banned.

Causes expenses, the banning of the polythene bags will lead to people having to pay to carry their purchases out of the store. The cost of manufacturing polythene bags is cheap and thus, the supermarkets provide free polythene bags. If these bags are banned, then the supermarkets would impose a charge on the carrier bags.

Polythene bags can be recycled. Plastic is important as many people make toys etc for their survival with plastic bags. So it would be led to unemployment in India.

Hi @Kritika,

I slightly disagree with you as only carrying out anything from the shop is not justify for this. We can use our cloth bags as we had in before 20 years.

Yes, Plastic bags should be banned.

Because a single plastic bag can take up to 1000 years to decay completely which makes the bags stay in environments longer. More and more people around the world are getting aware of environmental issues surrounding plastic bags.

One of the main disadvantages of plastic bags is that they are not renewable, it is made of petrochemicals, a non-renewable source of energy.

So, will banning them make cities and oceans cleaner and help the environment.

Yes, plastic bags should be banned and government should makes a law against it. Government should make strong law and put a big fine for the use of polythene bags.

1. Plastic bags is cheap but it is harmful to atmosphere. Produces more pollution.

2. It is non-renewable resource and takes 1000 years to complete degrade.

3 Polythene causes death of animals like cow and goats because it chocks the respiratory system.

In my opinion recycling is a better option rather than complete banned of uses of polythene bags. There are no suitable alternate till the day to replace polythene with lightweigt, low cost, mass production etc quality. Paper bag and clothing seems viable but in my opinion its practically impossible to completely replace all polythene bags around the globe which is near 3MMT each month.

Plastic products affect wildlife, wildlife habitat or humans. Plastic bags, polyethene covers make the earth.

More pollute. Plastic gets deposited In the soil and will degrade for ever. It creates difficulty in ploughing,

Retards the growth of plants in the fields, poisons the soil. Disposing plastic into water risks the marine life.

Burned plastic releases poisonous chemicals in the air. Plastic wrapping and bags should carry a warning label show the danger of plastic pollution, and shoppers should be encouraged to use their own bags or recycled paper bags.
