Hello everyone,
Myself Puja. According to my point of view Constitution of India assuring its citizens equality among them. So men and women are same. So there is no need of any reservation as reservation shows that they are not same to men. They are strong and need a proper system of security and laws not reservation.

I think that there is a necessity to pass Women Quota Bill for Women Empowerment-
This Women Quota bill or the constitution (108th amendment) bill, proposes to reserve 33% of seats in the Lok Sabha as well as state legislative assemblies for women.
The critics of this bill oppose it, mainly because-.
1. Equality- They believe that if this bill will be passed then, it would be fair for the male candidates, and it does tamper the notion equality in the society. But, is equality still practised today?
The answer is 'NO', and that's the reason of so many female foeticides, sexual assaults and discrimination of a girl child over a boy child in India. So, if equality is not thought over there, why equality is being pondered over here?
2. Growth- They say that it would dampen the growth of the nation and will affect it adversely. I don't think so, on the contrary, it will enhance women safety in the society. There are so many male politicians who have a criminal background or are rapist and sexual assaulters, how can we expect them to take fair decisions on behalf of a woman? Only a women can take decision which would benefit the women community.
3. Experience- There is already a reservation of 33.33% of seats in panchayat elections for women. The experience of women's reservation at the panchayat level is very encouraging and I do think that it would prove the same at the big level as well.
Thanks a lot!

If women wants equality then they should stands against the inequality spread BTW men and women. Instead of asking special quota like some feminists doing, they should stand against the law on which discrimination is based. If girls and women say they are equally powerful then men's than prove it. Reservation is not the solution of equal rights.
In present era even men are struggling in d field of employment and opportunities. Even men knows today's girls and women are empowered, way of thinking is also different as compare to previous times. And all if is so then why reservations.

Preamble Of Indian Constitution.
"We The People OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute INDIA into a SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC and to secure to all its citizen;
JUSTICE, LIBERTY, EQUALITY, FRATERNITY"
What is my point is on the day of independence we accept the equality status for all Indian citizens and other fundamental rights for everyone without barriers of race, sex, age, etc.
So there is no sense making someone empower. But if these Bill provides security, employment and education in backward areas then it should be passed with the kind support and regards of every Indian citizen.

If we really want women's growth then why reservation gives in the form of marks. It's one of the barriers in the development of our nation because we are promoting women's in various field by reservation not by their ability. How they will compete with the man who got the good position by his own ability not by reservation.

In my opinion quota should be present for women why? Because undoubtedly women today are able to excel in almost all fields of life. Then whether it be banking sector, science or sports, but these are rare cases. Women has the capability bit still the mindset of the society has not changed much.
Still certain elements in the country are pushing the women backwards. To change this mindset it is important that women be given the reservations so that they can get a platform and chance to actually prove themselves.

As per my opinion, every person when born he doesn't come with any stamp of the cast, poor, rich and all that. So it should not be any quota bill for the women. If women are equal to men, then is it necessary of quota bill? Offering quota bill for women means it's like taking doubt on the capability of the women, Every woman have the capability to face everything and every woman should get as per she deserve. Every person in this world should have equal rights and equal facilities.

We all are talking about the women reservation bill which is likely to give 33% reservation to women in Lok sabha. In my opinion, there should be reservation for women but first at the education level. No doubt in recent years, we have seen much betterment in women's condition but still we cannot say that we have reached the equality level and whosoever is saying this should go to villages and backward areas and see the condition of women.
And we should remember that originally in the constitution the reservation was mentioned for women. But the various amendments in constitution changed its face.
But I am against at giving reservation in politics. Even if women get the reservation at that level, it would be difficult for an ordinary woman with no political background to reach there. There would be a situation that instead of existing male politicians their wife and daughters will be holding the position.
There will be no change for ordinary women who are really suffering.

Well we are talking about equality of men and women in reality women is far behind men if we go through the data we come to know how lowest representation of women in Indian politic. So by giving reservation or passing bill on women reservation its help a lot to women empowerment.

Hi everyone,
So, today we are talking about bill for women empowerment. Saying that passing this bill only proves that women in this country are really weaker we cannot neglect this fact that since, the childhood women in our country are not treated same as our men.
Like in most of our middle class families parent's like to send their boy's in a better school then women because they find them as their sticks when they got older. I think dowry system is also a one reason, why people in our country don't want a women to be born on their houses.
Love marriages are seen like a sin in our country, so, in order to prevent this sin parent's don't like to send their daughters for higher studies (this point may look's silly to many participant's but it's true and I myself seen this in my own family).
Karva choth, Monday fast's for getting husband's etc. Are some of the rituals which makes men one step higher than women or you can say women herself makes their husband's more important (intentionally or intentionally (through these rituals) ).
Well, from the above point's it has been proved that women are not weaker by birth but they are made weaker when they went through their life cycle. So, reservation is a right step to give more power to the women so that they can make their coming generation more confident and give their 50% share in the society.
