Necessity of Women Quota Bill for Women Empowerment

I'm totally against of reservation. Because the world "reservation" itself define weakness. Gov should provide reservation only for those people who really deserve it like physically challenge (handicap, blind) etc.

Not for those who are physically as well as mentally strong. Women are capable to take their decision they know what is good /bad for them because now days women's are giving good compact to men in every aspect of life. If govt want to do something really for women provide them security, feeling of safety we need to respect them.

Because most of the parents doesn't allow them to go out of city for higher education because they feel it's not safe there for her. So firstly, we need to change this mentality & this would be possible only when we provide safe environment for them, so that women can get a good platform to prove themselves. Women has great ability to do anything they have strong determination toward their goal.

Conclusion - No need f reservation, don't underestimate the capability of women, if you want to see nation develop by 2020 then empowerment of women is must.

Since in past, there was male domination women had no chance at that period. Now a days, the women also plays a major role in every sector in the society giving equal and tough competition to men. So, we need not under-estimate the women. But now the situation has been totally changed. So, I think there is no big difference between men and women in society.

Our society suffers from many type of patriarch thinking's. Regarding women/girls is one of them. Reservation has improved situation of SC/ST/OBC drastically. Though now reservation should be on economic basis to give equal opportunities to rich and poor. But women are half of all rich and poor.

Because of patriarch thinking a huge imbalance in male /female ration has been created because of millions of killings of female (girl genocide). A mature person can easily understand the future of our society.

In my my point of view, there should be quota for indigent women who belong to 'backward classes. Many people think that 2015 is a male chauvinism free century, but is actually not. Even today, in some regions women are paid less than men for doing the same amount of work. Some places in India have not even progressed since 50 years, they still immure their wives and daughters in homes, not allowing them to step outside the home for work.

These things may be prevented by women quota, providing a platform to the women to march into domains which has been previously dominated by men, putting the sexes on equal footing.

This reservation should not be mistaken for injustice, as it is only been done to put the two genders on equal platform.

According to me it should not be there on one hand we talk about GENDER EQUALITY and on the other hand we are saying this "women quota" should be there! Reservation in any way is not acceptable because it kills the chances of the deserving one. Women are able, strong and very well empowered to make their ways themselves.

If somebody really wants to work for women empowerment then try to find out and solve WHAT WERE THE REASONS AND ACTIONS that the resultant is now we are feeling a need of extra quotas n reservations for women.

By giving reservation, we are giving a sense to the world that particular group of people are for what ever reasons are weak and need extra privileges to lead a comfortable life. So if you really want to empower women, don't spoon feed them by providing all sorts of reservation. Instead let them compete and become more and more stronger till they become totally equal to men in every possible sense.

I am against any kind of quota for women empowerment. If we have this type of way then good and capable person always lost opportunities. Person should be selected for any post by his/her skills and abilities not by any recommendation.

By this women can not recognize her actual ability to do any work she will not do extra effort in this case. I agree sometimes it beneficial for those who are really need this but in this corrupted country only powerful person got reservations and facilities. It does not reach to needed person.

You can take example of other types of quota itself which are not only for women just for caste basis.

One person do hard study and another have reservation then person always got chance which has reservation so there person's moral goes down. Person always think what need to do effort when he never got chance. Person can do effort if he/she has a little bit chance.

Overall thing is if quota is here then provide to really needed person not all who don't need else remove quota system.

Most of the people here have presented the argument that reservations are for weak people and women, today, are capable enough to get a job based on their skills and talents, and hence no reservation is required.

I respect this opinion but I would like to highlight some major loopholes in this assumption. Firstly, RESERVATIONS ARE NOT FOR WEAK PEOPLE. Reservations are for the groups or communities in our system who have faced discrimination and have been a victim of unfair treatment, and hence a special platform is given to them so that they can merge in the mainstream society.

Secondly, the assumption that situation has changed and women are given equal opportunities. The real scenario is not as beautiful as being painted by most of us. In rural areas, as well as high profile urban areas, women suffer from domestic violence, rapes, partiality, typical patriarchal mentality, honour killings, dowry deaths, female foeticides and what not?

They face discrimination and lack of security at workplace in a lot of ways. Why are male actors paid 5 to 8 times the actresses even for the same role? Therefore reservations should be given to women if their status in society is to be changed.

In my point of view men and women are equal. There should be no quota for women as women are as talented as men, women are capable enough to get jobs on basis of their skill. Having quota for women means we are underestimating their capabilities. Moreover the need of d hour is yo change the mindset of backward people.

Considering an example a woman is not allowed to have an army job because people think then she will not able to give time to hr family and will not able to do household work properly. So I conclude that women should not given any quota but people should change their vision for women.

According to me the women quota is not necessary for girls as well as women because in this era women have capability to prove herself with their skill and knowledge. If government wants to do something for women then work on women security, safety. Now women and men are in same position in everywhere. So need for women reservation.
