In my opinion, marriage should not be considered a social trap unless a couple is forced to make decisions or do things without taking their opinions or consent into consideration.

It can also become a social trap when couples are conditioned to follow certain practices or expectations against their own interests simply for the sake of society.

Marriage should be based on mutual respect and understanding between partners.

Both partners should respect each other's decisions, opinions, and interests.

In my opinion, marriage becomes a social trap when individuals lose their freedom to make their own choices and are forced to live according to society's expectations rather than their own wishes.

It varies from person to person.

From my perspective, marriage is not a trap its a beautiful bond between two people, but only if you understand and respect each other. Compromise when needed, and you are not forced to make such decisions and do things without your own opinions.

Even you have a partner to share everything you are scared to tell others and see success together, sometimes we just need the motivation and support of that one person to become successful in our life. So everything is good if you choose good partner, whether the marriage is arranged or love.

Marriage is scary only when you choose things under pressure or without your opinion, and also when the dowry or violation comes between you.

For example- What I observe, in 1980, 90s marriage where there are almost arrange marriages with parents or society decisions in which violation and sacrifices came but with the fear of society and parents respect they upholding the traditions which become a big trap.

And also, sometimes marriage becomes a trap if we want too much freedom, even if that is not a good fit for us that results in divorce.

So, in my opinion, it varies from person to person and their relationship and love. No matter whether it's a love or arranged marriage, the only thing that matters here is their own opinions and decisions.

Hello everyone,

Now, before starting, I would like to highlight what marriage is.

Marriage is a pure relationship between two people, a mutual bond sharing among couple.

So, in my opinion, marriage is a trap for so many people, and in this, anyone, either women or men, can feel trapped because, in Indian culture, if we get tied in a knot with someone, we are supposed to make it work; if not working, then that situation also creates a feeling of being trapped.

Women feel trapped because they are supposed to care for family and others more than themselves, and dependency on others will create even more after marriage; responsibility also increases.

For men, their load increases; they get pressure most of the time, and responsibility also increases. Then men also feel trapped; that's why people prefer to get settled before marriage for a slightly smoother life.

If both partners live happily, then marriage is the most beautiful thing in the universe because everyone wants to feel loved and seen by their partner.

Thankyou.
