Patents are good not only for India, but for the whole world. Every individual who contributed something original to the society must get his due recognition whether in India or elsewhere. In country like India, where 50% of the population are still illiterate, we need to bring about awareness in the matters of patents. And each one of us need to know, how patent laws can affect a country and how we fought cases concerning patent rights of Basmati rice, neem and turmeric. Many of our natural resources or indigenous products of our farmers can be at stake, if we are unaware of patent rights. Hence India definitely needs a patent bill.

Hi friends. I support all of your views that patient bill is important. It is important for development new technology. Because if patent bill isn't there someone's invention is theft by other. And the inventor will not get the right price of his/her work. But though it have some bad side also. For example in pharma industry some company invented a new medicine of a certain disease their is no competition they can hike the product price as they will and the sufferer will be the common people. So the patient bill is needed but government must monitor the companies new inventions should be reached our common people properly.

As per the given topic, the things have its own advantage and disadvantage so we have to understand that from which point of concept we have to look so in the other words it also seems that each thing has a two side of the coin.

So we have to decide at which point we have to go.

So from my point of view that patently is good as since from last 66 years, this patent is running without much problem

Yeah, I know there is some problem in delay the decision, in sort out of the problem is not done quickly. But to run such a huge country democratic it is quit difficult. So it is better to have.

Patenting is definitely a good thing and may help a innovative mind reap the profits for the hardwork he has done.

But there should be a limit on the items or ideas which can be put under patenting law.

We cant afford to patent medicines in a poor country like ours, we cant think of patenting healthcare services in our country, we should not patent education. In short govt must not allow patenting of things that affects life of a poor and common man.

Plus we shud not patent things which are related to cultures and religions. E. G. What happened in usa where a man patented yoga asans.

Hi Friends,

Patent law is really good for India.

India is a Young country filled with talented people who really want to do something creative, innovate and turn the tables on the west.

However one major hindrance in this field was the absence of a law protecting and recognizing the original work of the Indian inventors and innovators.

So the Patent Bill can be termed as the need of the hour which will protect and recognize the Indian creators and this in turn will provide enthusiasm to the tired research sector and will give Indian innovators something to live and aim for.

I totally agree with all the points being said on the favour of the patent bill in India, as it would benefit the new generation inventors to patent their technology in the country itself rather than going on for some higher approval outside the country. The patent bill would help the inventors safeguard their inventions from being used illegally by any other person or country. Like if an author publishes a book, he gets the rights of the book to sell it to anybody or distribute it for free. Same way patent bill would prove a great boost to the development of our economy!

Friends we know the meaning of patent. So no need of describing it, but what it's required is that we should be aware very well about it's application. In the healthcare field it is mandatory to me, due to the present scenario we have.

On the other hand in the field of academy it does not require any more, but it would be more beneficial if government takes some important and tough decisions to improve it.

So friends we need to see our country as a developed one, not like developing anymore, keeping that in mind "PATENT BILL NEEDS AND HAVE TO BE DONE".

Patent Bill is really a good idea for Country like India as a developing Nation.

Where people who are born poor with good brains invent something good but the same is utilized by someone who is more rich and powerful from the guy who invented the same. Sometimes the Ideas are used on Negative approaches which are many times resulting a loss to the Countries Economy.

Patent Bill can stop this kind of Negative approaches and help in implementing the ideas on a good hope, good way they are made for resulting to a name and fame to the inventor of the Idea.

I Think the Patents Bill is good provided a layman should be aware of this. Patents bill is Really good because it help to get a profit from someone invention. And is much needed in country like India. If we see many of over Bollywood movies are copied from some another movie or it is the remake of any old movie. This kind of situation the Patents Bills really help a lot to original inventor of product.

This is was a simple example which I shared with you but there can be more cases with different -different product. So Patents Bill is Good for India.

First of all we have to know with what patent bill deals with, this bill makes mandatory to patent all new innovation generated by public funded research. Scientist themselves are not happy over this bill. This will involve a huge amount of paperwork and moreover this bill is not in the interest of the public, if public research is sold to company that price thier product very high then people will end up paying double amount. There is also concern that large amount of exchequer will be lost because patenting in itself is very costly process.
