Hi friends.

Through patent law, the inventor will have a recognition and right over his product. So, this inspires them and also many people to invent something useful. Patents are good not only for India, but for the whole world. Every individual who contributed something original to the society must get his due recognition whether in India or elsewhere. In country like India, where 50% of the population are still illiterate, we need to bring about awareness in the matters of patents. And each one of us need to know, how patent laws can affect a country and how we fought cases concerning patent rights of Basmati rice, neem and turmeric. Many of our natural resources or indigenous products of our farmers can be at stake, if we are unaware of patent rights.

Patent bill is certainly good for India because it is a developing country needs to increase the number of researches and developments. This bill will certainly ensure security of the innovations of various institutions and research centers thereby encouraging more number of researches. As such India is well behind in R&D sector spending less than 1% of its GDP in it. So if the number of researches will be more then the govt will be bound to spend more and this will change our R&D scenario completely.

Not only that various foreign MNCs as well as Indian companies will also be able to secure their intellectual property in their R&D sectors which will also enhance foreign direct investments. So this bill can be a boon for our developing economy.

Hello, friends.

I believe that patent bill will be really good for India. India is a developing country so it is required that it should make good innovations in terms of technology and research.

So if patent bill will be there then it will be a matter of great incouragement to the young minds who have interest in research area.

People will engage themselves more on practical ideas and try to find out solutions by innovation.

We in India innovation in small scale is known as Jugaad. People are very good in it. It will be a technological boom for India if it is introduced.

More the Indian companies and MNCs will try to improve their product. A healthy competition will develop b/w them.

Hello everyone,

As we know that patents is a form of intellectual property and its granted to those inventor who invents any new, non obious and should have industrial application. Because of patents we gets incentives to Indian pharma company, better living statndards, good healthy competition amongs industry and more innovatives products comes into markets but at same time its cost lives because anything which is under patent do costly and we are not enogh rich to buy the produt so what I meant it having disadvantages also like if do patent on life saving drugs then definetly it will cost to poor or need person. Finally at the end its all depends on inventors percepton.

Hi friends.

In my point of view patent is two edged sword.

In terms of technology patent bill can be allowed in India. In India many people are having creative skills and they may use their skills to upgrade the existing technology.

But when we consider the scenario in biological means, they are developing hybrid varieties of plants which would yield more but they are many side effects.

Because of this many new diseases are coming into existence.

When farmers use those seeds for cultivation they may get more yield that year but they cannot use those seeds next year. They have to buy seeds again so I think the patent bills are not good for India in this aspect.

As we all know, patenting anything has both good and bad sides to it. There are two types of goods, consumer staples, which are required by all as necessary, and consumer discretionaries, which are luxuries, that everyone cannot afford. For a country like india, where more than 40% of people are below poverty line, it would be unjust on our part to patent the consumer staples, like health care, medicine. We can't make someone reap the benefits of their patents, keeping the lives of the poor people at stake. But at the same time, patenting of technologies like those used in the mobile industry would certainly spur the economy by encouraging research in that field.

Hi every one.

Patent bill is a very good for the India, as patent act provides the security for inventor, motivate by giving rewards in the form of benefits. It's a need of human being/nation whether it is in the form of money or publicity of brand. In case of patenting necessary things like medicine in Indian patent act their is provision that no one can patent medicine which will going to use for life threading diseases and government have right to off patent any medicine in emergency situations. So in conclusion patent bill is need to encourage researchers in R&D sector in India in turn to increase the financial involvement by government.

I think patent bill for any country is of utmost importance and so is for India. India being a land of art & culture, this assumes even greater importance. In the absence of patent bill a person's zeal to invent is also killed. Also in the absence of patent bill our skilled resources would be shifting to other countries to get their invention patented and to showcase their talent. But for those inventions which benefits the society at large, patenting is not required. In that case the person should be allowed to receive a certain part of profit but must not be given exclusive right so that everyone enjoys the benefit of innovation.

PATENT BILL is of great importance. Every innovation is important and must be recognised and with the every product of Patent the name of the person who is responsible for this Patent must be mentioned because all of us should know about the inventions of that country and that persons. People who are from poor family invented a lot of things but they they have no idea about what they have invented and that add to what the world. Many of the times value additions is also can be done by this process. I would suggest a common forum for rural areas inventions so that every persons is recognised. And get proper evaluation for their Patent.
