In my opinion, it has both pros and cons. Social media makes good connections with people across the world. We can exchange thoughts, ideas and creative content. We can learn new languages through communication. People choose social media platforms instead of reading newspapers to get awareness about current affairs. On the other hand, many are misusing these platforms for non- academic activities, which are not encouraged by society.

Day by day, screen time is increasing, which results in a lack of interest in careers. Addiction kills the sleep schedule, which affects our brain functioning.

According to me, Yes, Social media is connecting people.

* It bridges geographical gaps by allowing instant communication worldwide.
* Helps maintain relationships and reconnect with old friends/family.
* Provides platforms for communities with shared interests (education, hobbies, causes).
* Useful for networking, career growth, and awareness.
* Promotes virtual connections but reduces face-to-face interactions.
* Creates superficial relationships; likes and comments don’t equal real bonding.
* Addiction leads to isolation, stress, and mental health issues.
* Spreads misinformation and creates echo chambers instead of genuine understanding.

Yes, social media connects people without any doubt. Now we can talk, chat, or video call with the people we want to. There are many useful characteristics of social media. But we also can not ignore the demerits of social media. Scammers create fake identities to scam innocent people. In this AI era, it's very easy to pretend someone else and fool people. Even though we can not say that social media is not good. It's a universal fact that everything has its own merits and demerits. And if we think about the facilities social media gives us, then we can not deny that social media have changed our lives. Social media is now a part of our daily life.

Social media is a medium through which we communicate, make new friends, share our opinions on everything, criticize each other, become the keyboard warriors.

In my opinion, it is not connecting people.

Social media is good if we use it properly so it is on us how we use it for our improvement or destruction. But nowadays people are got addicted to the social media and using it in a bad way and wasting their precious time. People are using it as a medium to show their happy times by clicking the pictures and posting it on social media. Instead of connecting friends on social media people should go out and try to interact them by heart.

Social media is one the transformative changes which connected people throughout the world.
It emerged as the fastest platform to broadcast information in the present-day scenario.
It has various benefits like spreading knowledge content, encouraging creative thinking and for content creation.
But it also poses various challenges if not used ethically. Even though it connects people from far away, sometimes it results in a lack of emotional bonding with the people around us. Social media networking may also sometimes lead to cyber fraud. So it has both pros and cons. Hence, there should be strict regulatory guidelines to be followed.

As per my opinion everything in the world has its pros and cons but it's up to us like How do we use it so that it will benefit us. So in my opinion, social media is very helpful by connecting people not just friends and also for business purposes andv someone who has faced something that should be known to everyone then that person can reach maximum people through social media.

Also, some communities that are not able to express their feeling or cannot get that many opportunities they can also use social media to reach out max people.

And also in covid time, we have seen that on social media we have reached for medical availability.

I like to rely on both yes and no because social media is actually connecting people using social media apps and people able to communicate with their loved ones or family who are located out of the region.

But at the same time, It creates a gap between the people inside their region for ex in meetups people often use mobiles instead of physical interaction but it not fit for all cases.

Some of the people are aware of these threats.

So, In conclusion, social media is connecting people. And the people who are using social media should be aware of it.

Social media has also both good and bad, but in my opinion, most of us are using in a good manner because students use it for studying, graduates use it for jobs, talented people use as a talent showcase and many more but some people who have no ethics use it in a bad way to put somebody down.

So in this new generation era, social media has great impact on a person's life because it gives information all around the world.

A few examples of social media that are very useful are LinkedIn, Nokri, WhatsApp, etc.

When you say social media, Everyone thinks that social media is just for entertainment, To connect with old friends far away, To upload photos, etc. But, Many don't know that social media can also be used to gain knowledge. There is no limit to learning; You have abundant information on social sites. You can choose in which field you want to improve.

Nowadays, The younger generation has got addicted to social sites. They spend hours together, wasting their precious time. And their health is also get affected, Due to excessive usage. There are many benefits than disadvantages, But it completely depends on the user.

In my consent, it is actually not doing for what it came into existence.

Nowadays, parents don't have control over their children. Even a 5 year old now knows how to operate a smartphone and he/she is socially active on every social media website. Besides building contacts, this generation is just wasting their time refreshing the news feeds, tagging people and making vines. People are becoming more self oriented and selfish. They prefer meeting people on social media besides meeting the person personally. So, the social media is not connecting people, it is just making people more self-oriented, reserved and selfish in nature.
