Today's topic is about whether social media is connecting people.

I like to rely on both yes and no because social media is actually connecting people using social media apps and people able to communicate with their loved ones or family who are located out of the region.

But at the same time, It creates a gap between the people inside their region for ex in meetups people often use mobiles instead of physical interaction but it not fit for all cases.

Some of the people are aware of these threats.

So, In conclusion, social media is connecting people. And the people who are using social media should be aware of it.

As we all know, every coin has two sides so,

Social media has also both good and bad, but in my opinion, most of us are using in a good manner because students use it for studying, graduates use it for jobs, talented people use as a talent showcase and many more but some people who have no ethics use it in a bad way to put somebody down.

So in this new generation era, social media has great impact on a person's life because it gives information all around the world.

A few examples of social media that are very useful are LinkedIn, Nokri, WhatsApp, etc.

When you say social media, Everyone thinks that social media is just for entertainment, To connect with old friends far away, To upload photos, etc. But, Many don't know that social media can also be used to gain knowledge. There is no limit to learning; You have abundant information on social sites. You can choose in which field you want to improve.

Nowadays, The younger generation has got addicted to social sites. They spend hours together, wasting their precious time. And their health is also get affected, Due to excessive usage. There are many benefits than disadvantages, But it completely depends on the user.

In my consent, it is actually not doing for what it came into existence.

Nowadays, parents don't have control over their children. Even a 5 year old now knows how to operate a smartphone and he/she is socially active on every social media website. Besides building contacts, this generation is just wasting their time refreshing the news feeds, tagging people and making vines. People are becoming more self oriented and selfish. They prefer meeting people on social media besides meeting the person personally. So, the social media is not connecting people, it is just making people more self-oriented, reserved and selfish in nature.

We got all the information about the college and schools what would happen in tomorrow and if any meetings in the college they informed us through WhatsApp. This is not only for education this is for all other fields.

Yes, I do feel that social media is really connecting people around the world. We are able to unlimitedly talk via voice and video calls to our loved ones miles apart through these social media platforms. We are able to access news regarding almost everything going around us via these platforms as well. Not just that intellects, researchers and even scientists around the world are able to connect and work together within no time because of this. Though direct face to face contact and outdoor activities are decreasing, when views from a bigger dimension it's definitely connecting people better than before.

Here I am discussing about social media is actually connecting. In this generation, people are mostly using social media for entertainment and also some using to earn income so, all of them are connected to each other.

For example, I am using Instagram I used to watch reels and stories daily. I followed family and friends' activities through stories and posts. I can keep in Touch with my old friends through social media Wherever I lose my phone number or change home I can me in touch with them and I can stay connected with them even if I'm in a foreign.

Yes, one can say the social media like facebook, Watsapp, Snapchat are introduced to communicate with other people through the internet. But in real life we do not use it in a positive way. Many people use fake accounts to communicate with others with bad intentions. People try to compare with others to show off their social status. Nowadays people are too addicted with these social sites and ignore their daily necessary works even a five-year-old child has his account in social media. So we should not make ourselves as slaves of social media rather we should use when it is really necessary.

I'm Nitya. In my opinion, social media is really connect people across the globe which is amazing. Well everything has its pros and cons while this contains too. Social media can make you get in touch with your childhood friend and your relatives. We can use social media in an effective manner if we know how to use it properly. If you are shy and socially awkward person then you can totally express yourself in social media.

Some can misuse social media for posting offensive comments on the posts which will lead to hatred.

Finally, it's all in your hands how well you will utilize it.

I do beleive that social media is connecting people across the globe and assisting people to establish interconnected networks that enhance awareness and contribute toward personal and professional growth of individuals. But unfortunately lack of digital literacy is empowering extremist tendencies to manipulate young minds and trap them into their propaganda chains resulting into social unrest and political instability. In order to cap this, there's a dire need to develop robust policies to keep a check on social media sites as it has ample potential to misguide young generations toward dark tunnels.
