Is Social Media Actually Connecting People?

Here I am discussing about social media is actually connecting. In this generation, people are mostly using social media for entertainment and also some using to earn income so, all of them are connected to each other.

For example, I am using Instagram I used to watch reels and stories daily. I followed family and friends' activities through stories and posts. I can keep in Touch with my old friends through social media Wherever I lose my phone number or change home I can me in touch with them and I can stay connected with them even if I'm in a foreign.

Yes, one can say the social media like facebook, Watsapp, Snapchat are introduced to communicate with other people through the internet. But in real life we do not use it in a positive way. Many people use fake accounts to communicate with others with bad intentions. People try to compare with others to show off their social status. Nowadays people are too addicted with these social sites and ignore their daily necessary works even a five-year-old child has his account in social media. So we should not make ourselves as slaves of social media rather we should use when it is really necessary.

I'm Nitya. In my opinion, social media is really connect people across the globe which is amazing. Well everything has its pros and cons while this contains too. Social media can make you get in touch with your childhood friend and your relatives. We can use social media in an effective manner if we know how to use it properly. If you are shy and socially awkward person then you can totally express yourself in social media.

Some can misuse social media for posting offensive comments on the posts which will lead to hatred.

Finally, it's all in your hands how well you will utilize it.

I do beleive that social media is connecting people across the globe and assisting people to establish interconnected networks that enhance awareness and contribute toward personal and professional growth of individuals. But unfortunately lack of digital literacy is empowering extremist tendencies to manipulate young minds and trap them into their propaganda chains resulting into social unrest and political instability. In order to cap this, there's a dire need to develop robust policies to keep a check on social media sites as it has ample potential to misguide young generations toward dark tunnels.

My opinion is that, in these days social media plays a major role in all the platforms.

There are both advantages and disadvantages.

That depends on the uses.

If we use it for learning something or like LinkedIn or other helpful platforms or applications then.

It is fine.

But just like for entertainment purposes, we are using Facebook or Instagram or something like this type of application, It is addicted to our mind. There are so many disadvantages like underage child making reels that turned their life to hell.

I can't say about this that it will effect on this in the future.

Yeah, undoubtedly it is wiping out the distance and connecting people. We can reach out anyone from anywhere and share things with lots of people without many efforts. It can also create a good platform for many talented people and make them glorified. On the other hand excess usage and its addiction results in loss of our valuable time. Nowadays Sharing everything in social media also leading lots of crimes. In some cases, it's making every relation a materialistic one in greed of likes and loves. It's in our hand to use it in the right way by think before we share anything in it.

In my point of view, social media not connect people. I connection means not only sharing the data through the connection we have to share our personal information to others, through hopeful connection we have to share our emotional and feelings also, so social media will connect globally but not emotionally.

So may be social medial can connect device but not an believable persons, if we blindly believe someone may they make us foolish after some time it leads to cyberbullying so social media communication dangerous also, in my point of view, connection needs genuine communication.

The social media network is divisible into two parts: advantages and disadvantages.

Some of the advantages of social media are LinkedIn, Indeed, Leetcode, and more. This social media is useful to the knowledge gain and useful to the human.

The disadvantage are that some social media are some example are instagram amd facebook are app are the waste of time and the some person are use the app are spam to people and the some the person are the block to boys and girl. So, social media is used at a limited level.

It won't be wrong to say that social media does "connect people". You get to know more about the lives of your loved ones. Distance does feel very small with the introduction of new technologies and social media platforms.

But something that it also does is disconnect you from the surroundings and the people around you. It gets difficult to distinguish a thin line between the virtual and the real world. The chances of this happening are bleak if you know how and when to use social media platforms.

In my opinion, technology can never be proved wrong if used with precautions and good motives.

I think social media has both negative and positive impact, talking about the positive side, through social media there is a exchange of huge information, knowledge, various creative content between various people in the world.

We can communicate with many new persons in a better way, express our feelings like we are sitting with them.

Beside this, it also some negative thoughts like using social media more results in distraction, lack of concentration, focus.

People tend to lose connection from the persons which are present physically with them and they also sometimes feel lonely by this.
