Hello, friends, I'm Mayank.
In my opinion, India is not ready for EV (electric vehicle) As EV require charging centre for charging their battery and it requires a lot of time, whereas petrol filling time is very less, so it will not be easy for people to move to EVs.
As there is no infrastructure (charging centre, EV vehicle maintenance centre etc) in India for EVs it is one of major reason. EVs are not considered good for long distances as they require charging of 5to 6hours after every 200 km drive.
Most important India is already failing in producing EVs and Making them drive on road by providing proper services even in a single city.

Electric vehicles are very much needed today Among the world's 20 most polluted cities, India is in 13th position.
So we have to use Electric Vehicles to change this.
Electric Vehicles are 100 percent eco-friendly. They do not emit toxic gases or smoke in the environment which leads to global warming and helps to reduce pollution. It requires less maintenance than conventional vehicles as there are fewer fluids to change and fewer moving parts.

Today's India is ready for anything with some ifs. Suppose all of us start using EV vehicles, Can we afford it?
Yes, Do we have the resources for it ?N0. Imagine waiting in line for hours just to charge your car and with the amount of population we have, it does not only imagine its prediction.
So, once when we are equipped with the required resources and Indian automaker's trust we will see certainly see EV Vehicles on our streets.

Yes, it's right time for India to develop EV as we all know Price of petrol and diesel is increasing day by day and we have no control on it so why to depend on other countries, Develop EV station to charge it and India is surplus in electricity and solar energy. It will make us get rid of pollution, noise and global warming etc.

As we are knowing that India is a developing country since our childhood. Since electric vehicles have already been adopted by so many developed countries like Us, China so India must also adopt EVs as they are eco-friendly. EVs produces almost negligible noise which is the major concern with other conventional vehicles.
Since EVs donot use any fuel or liquid additives so there is no any chance of changing any parts of it because of the damage produced by the liquid additives. Also EVs have less parts compared to conventional vehicles so time to time maintenance is not required.
Since India is running electric train from long time before which is very much successful step as it is saving lot of fuel and also avoiding the pollution. So why can't India switch to EVs from conventional vehicles.
As we all know that nothing comes with 100 percent assurity so there are some points of concern also associated with EVs as it requires a large number of set up of electric charging unit. Also EVs do not accelerate at a faster rate. One of the major concern of EVs is the development of high power of battery as it requires a lot of time to get charged killing a lot of time.

Good evening everyone. Today's topic is one of the most crucial topics of this time period. So, first of all in India is one of the most largely populated countries after china and in India, most people don't have a private car that's why a large number of people used to travel by public transport. Public transport usually consumes diesel and sometimes petrol so there is a large amount of air pollution takes place which was harmful to our health and as well as the environment. Apart from that cost of diesel and Petrols increasing day by day so this is a golden time to shift from fossil fuel consumed car to electric vehicle, it is the one and only option to save our Indian sub-continent as well as the world.
So when we apply this idea there were some challenges, like-.
1. Charging infrastructure: A report of the Indian govt says in India there is approximately 70000 pump in Otherside approx 2900 EV charging station are there.
2. Higher cost-In EV every part is valuable and the cost is higher if we compared with fossil fuel vehicle.
3. Lack of technology.
4. Large dependency on other countries. (especially in china).
5. Lack of skilled worker.
6. Possible disruption in the automobile sector.
Govt of India takes a lot of initiative.
Our focus areas-.
1. Create a charging infrastructure.
2.R&D in battery technology (shift from li ions).
3. EV education.
If we create those things and govt encouraged people to buy EV so there is a good future of EV in India because in the current scenario India is one of the most convertible markets in the world.
Thank you.

As my point, in some city of India, the electrical vehicle should be first priority after seeing the environment scenario of such cities like Delhi. Where the pollution is at a peak. So to use an electric vehicle is necessary for such type of city before it going to be so late so we can compensate or manage the environmental issues of such cities. So whatever the cost of infrastructure should be done and have to give first priority to such cities for an electric vehicle. Because all we know that the electric vehicle is does not affect the environment badly and also it does not produce noise pollution. And even the cost of charging the battery will be going to be less conpare to the fuels like diesel and petrol. And in another city of India which not so much polluted there currently electric vehicle is not needed. Because India is a big country and has the second-largest pollution in the world. So the infrastructure of an electric vehicle is going to give a high cost to the government. Because in such type of country if do the change immediately that will give us adverse effect although the electric vehicle is one of the steps to making our country from developing to developed. But it is a step by step process. That should be followed accordingly. And yes after looking at the scenario of GDP growth rate of India currently we can't go for the electric vehicle but yes we have to go for an electric vehicle in such cities where pollution is on the peak. Thank you.

Good morning everyone!
I am S. Vaishnavi hailing from Hyderabad.
As a developing nation i.e. India needs reform to develop and be competitive country to other countries, in my words, India is not ready for Electric vehicles. If the government is trying to introduce Electric vehicles in India it must be noted that in our country majority of people do not have much knowledge of electric vehicles, lack of electricity charging banks, lack of electricity workshops, and electric vehicles are a bit expensive which below poverty line people cannot afford it. When we speak about rural areas we can see regular power cuts and poor road conditions which doesn't support electric vehicle drive. So, I conclude India needs a decade to clear all the problems and to invite electric vehicles onto the roads.
Thank you.

Yes. India is ready for electrical vehicle but only in urban area where power stations are available. As we increases the use of electrical vehicle, more power stations will be established.
In my opinion, we should have to use electrical vehicle instead of using car that run on petrol/diesel to control pollution. Pollutants from vehicle exhaust can affect Global warming and also human health.
