Dear all, In this discussion I would like to share my views on the topic. Every successful man is not a highly qualified man and every unsuccessful man is not an illiterate. To succeed in life one should have the guts to face the failure because when you aim at success, the fear of failure comes into your mind. And this fear doesn't allow you to learn/try new things. Each time you fail, you will learn a lesson out of it. That lesson is important in your life not the MBA degree. There are many MBA's who were left unemployed just because they lack the life skills. And also there are many successful people even without an MBA just by nurturing their life skills.

Hi I am Shanthipriya. According to me "Success" is a relative term. Its up to an individual to decide on what is success for him/her in life. Taking business into consideration, an MBA gives you an additional knowledge in to the know-how of the business environment and acts as a support. It is certainly not necessary to have the three letter degree to be successful in one's entrepreneurial/managerial life.

The concepts taught at a B-school can definitely be learnt through experience too. However, that becomes an expensive course. Thus, one can use an MBA degree to help him in tough times rather than entirely relying on it to run a business/ lead a team.

I think Studying MBA is definitely helpful to be in your own business It is not bookish Neither the engineering is also Not Confined to text books it is development of Attitude & discipline to brain.

Hardly 2% of what you study in Engineering is really applied in day to day job of engineer, same hold good for MBA.

It elevates your ability to think It widens your Vision & it is the acquired tool it depends How you use it.

Some one quoted that Dhirubhai had Not done MBA but pl note both of his sons have done MDA from Top institutes & That only have helped Reliance to develop in Multi activity Industry to this level of expansion.

My two years of experience in a Finance Company says that after having pursued the highly valuable degree like MBA, we MBA's are not treated at par with Chartered Accountants. Though MBA's give tough competition to the Chartered Accountants, they are mistreated in the Corporate. The reason is the simple fact that there are numerous known-unknown universities offering the MBA degree but there is just one standardized institute to offer CA degree. In India, if we really want to be successful MBA's then we will have to standardized the MBA education. We need serious reform here just now. And this is what's the fact according to me. Thank you.

Hi I have done my MBA last year now I feel much more confident and satisfied. I always wanted to pursue a higher education but lacked monetary support so when I got a job from that next month I started the MBA course during the 2yr time I had a major accident but I per sued my will and last year was a great time when I received the degree. I am really happy it did not turn to reward in terms of higher pay by my employer but still I have no regrets I got more respect by friends my relatives. Good luck to all who believe in their dreams of doing MBA or CA or any other course its your choice man. Its your life live it on your own terms. Bye.

Hi,

This Santunu from my point of view MBA is not necessary but it has some importance. This is the place where a person can know everything relating to business and a person who are not aware of any business they can know the theoretical and practical knowledge of the business. It will improve the attitude and behavior and business communication skill of a person. Whoever in this world are successful businessmen they all are following the business profession, they may not follow initially or directly but somehow they are following indirectly. Here, at last, I can conclude that a business and business course are correlated to each other.

Hi everyone.

In my opinion, an MBA is a good course for career enhancement. It helps the person to enrich their personality, all-round growth but in spite that the MBA is not only things through which we get success in life. To get success in life there is my opportunity prevailing in the environment we need to grab that opportunity. So the MBA is the best career opportunity but in spite that it is not too necessary to get success in life. If we work hard for our own livelihood. We can get success in life. So the point is that " To get success in life there is not necessary to do an MBA, necessary to do hard word for achieving goal ".

What I feel is, it totally depends on us, what we have to take from this degree. For some its just for fame, for some everything. I am MBA finance. Not from best college but I have done. I would like to tell for those who won't be pursuing their MBA from big colleges that if you have some other passion - follow it. If not make your passion to find your passion. Finding does not mean enrolling in MBA programme.

Lets say if you feel I want to make finance as my passion or career, for that you can do MBA but you also have to do much beyond that. Their is lot in finance. Pick up one thing. Read write analyse on that. Good luck.

Hi, every one as a topic is an MBA necessary to succeed life.

My opinion is, it depends on person to person if a person who makes his/her career in banking and finance it must to do MBA because it is a tool to succeed in life and other things, if other people want to become a doctor, engineer, actor, lawyer, etc they not need to did MBA.

Mba is a master degree it is important because nowadays most of the company preferred MBA people.

Some of the people give examples in this group Modi not done MBA and he is successful.

In this case, my opinion is why Modi needs to do MBA he is politicians, not a business tycoon.

Why only MBA? BBA and MBA are having the same subjects/topics etc, 90% to 95% course is same, and peoples mindset is like if you don't have an MBA degree with you then you won't be successful in any other tasks/things you do which are different from business of management field.

Is MBA really a path towards success, can't a person have interest in other field and make their life successful by achieving a lot more in the professions or fields of their interest. One needs hard work, determination, perseverance, dedication, will power and a lot of interest for the profession or field of their choice.
