Dear all, In this discussion I would like to share my views on the topic. Every successful man is not a highly qualified man and every unsuccessful man is not an illiterate. To succeed in life one should have the guts to face the failure because when you aim at success, the fear of failure comes into your mind. And this fear doesn't allow you to learn/try new things. Each time you fail, you will learn a lesson out of it. That lesson is important in your life not the MBA degree. There are many MBA's who were left unemployed just because they lack the life skills. And also there are many successful people even without an MBA just by nurturing their life skills.

Getting an education is an important part of success in today's business world. It's competitive out there, and the more educated you are, the better your chances of landing a good job are. That's why getting a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) is so important " education leads to opportunities.
There are only a select few in the world who can drop out of school and go on to make a significant contribution to the world. For the rest of us, education is key. Take a look at three real reasons why an MBA degree is important in the business world.
1. Increase your hiring opportunities. Generally, the more education you have, the better your career opportunities and choices are. A MBA graduate is an extremely valuable asset to an organization. Because of the competition in today's business world, you may actually find that you need a MBA degree to even have a first interview.
In school, MBA students learn different techniques and skills that can help businesses. Some companies plan to hire MBA students, maybe even paying for current employees to go back to school and get a MBA. You know that if a company is willing to pay for employees to get the degree, it's certainly an asset.
2. Get paid more. With a MBA degree in hand, you can actually demand a higher salary. According to a 2007 Corporate Recruiters Survey, employers are willing to pay significantly more for job candidates with an MBA degree. The survey suggests that companies will pay up to 84 percent more. It is hard work to earn a MBA degree and your salary certainly should reflect that.
3. Build your network. One of the really valuable parts of getting a MBA degree is the networking opportunities. When you are studying for a MBA, you are with people from all walks of life, all trying to accomplish the same goal. These are the future leaders in the business world. You can connect with people who may one day lead corporations. These relationships become very valuable for you, as a professional, but also for your future company. The relationships you forge in the MBA classroom will get you into groups and organizations that will certainly benefit your future employer.
Going back to school, for any reason, is always a good idea. Getting a MBA will increase your chances of finding a great job with a solid company.

Hi everyone.

"Is MBA necessary to succeed in life".
In my view MBA is not necessary to succeed in life, success depends on our skills and our ability, let's take an example Narendra Modi they don't know MBA but they get success in his life now he is number one powerful person in India why because he has some skills regarding that,
And Virat Kohli also he doesn't know MBA but he succeeded in his life, these kinds of examples we can apply here, so MBA is not necessary to succeed in life.
But it helps to get a good job, become a good entrepreneur in their life.
And it helps to understand the which kind of skills we need to have.
1. The Way of communication.
2. Body language.
3. Uniformity.
4. Time management.
5. Fluent language.
6. Etc.

Hello everyone,
I am Mayank.
If I talk about myself I am an Engineering Graduate Still Unemployed (its been two years since I Passed out from college) and that's because I didn't know anything better to do other than Engineering (that's other thing).
So my point is if you look at my situation it looks like MBA is a very good Option for me as to completely change my career flow, I desperately need that, so for me doing MBA could open new opportunities and its a complete new chance for me to learn something new which could lead me towards a better career doing MBA will improve my skills, my personality, I will be more confident then, and and as I said its a new chance for me.
But this is applicable to people like me, other than that people who are already doing good in there careers may not need any MBA course, Of course they can improve there positions and salaries by going for MBA. But I don't think that MBA is the only Key to get Success in Life, not at all.
Important is that why do Want to go for MBA (or any other PG Course) You should have a reason behind it and if you have an appropriate reason than just throw yourself in that field be it MBA or anything.
Agreed that Good Colleges are the key Factor but If you really want to learn and shine you can do it anywhere. But not just because everybody is saying doing MBA is Good and Doing it just to get good salary package and lifestyle and an MBA tag, you won't get anywhere (That happened to me with Engineering!).
So again Being successful has nothing to with MBA,
Thank you for reading.

I am not a manager but a leader, and I don't hold a MBA degree/diploma. I don't have to be a manager to make other employees work; I just have to be a good human being. I love to lead a pack of hungry wolves, and get the job done - in time, and of high-quality. The kind of determination and concentration you require in order to achieve your goal isn't something which you'll learn from experiences of a MBA institute's cafeteria. That you will learn when you really put your heart and soul in your work. Everyone cries for more money, more incentives, more of everything - but work.
This is to all those crying babies who need a nappy change every hour - real personalities aren't born in Harvards or IIMs, they are just too good to be associated with a mere brand! Real personalities have a character, have a soul, and above all have a God watching over them. They don't run after success; nor do they chase degrees. They simply live and let others live. So strive hard to be a good leader, because my friend, everyone is already managing something or the other.
What good would you do to the society by becoming a good manager anyways? When you want to bring about a change, it is easier to change a process rather than change a group of people, because people never change. For example, Pakistanis and Chinese politicians can never change, but India's foreign policy can! I'll leave that debate for some other forum.

According to me, MBA is not necessary to get the success in life, Many people are there who haven't done an MBA yet they are successful in life. We can take the example of Dhirubhai ambani and many more who just dropped out from the MBA and yet they are successful in life. It was their vision, passion, hard work and dedication which took them to achieve their goals in life.
But MBA degree gives you a added advantage over others in terms of knowledge, how to handle business situations, how to deal with the clients, how to face the real situations. 2 year of course which includes summer internship, different courses related to finance, marketing, HR, Operations and many more gives you a broad idea about the whole Business and their strategies works.

According to me MBA is necessary to succeed in life. It is not just a degree it's a course of personality development, the course of improving n enhancing communication skills, generating self confidence, removing stage fear, developing a positive attitude towards life.
I agree that today various institutions are running MBA programme but it definitely depends on the faculty and the individual how he learns and what attitude he has for MBA. Does he seriously want to achieve success in life by doing this programme or a he take this as a normal degree.
Well if a person want to develop a positive attitude, and learn how to face challenges and risk in life, how to manage the resources, costing, leadership, entrepreneurship, and there are many things in MBA, he should go for this degree to succeed in life and to be successful in life.
Thank you.

Good Morning,
I am Aditya.
According to my point of view, MBA is just a degree of education which is common to everyone, anyone can pursue an MBA rather than any other Degree. So it just gives us the knowledge to develop your mind and show to other means present yourself. It's a choice of there what they want to take and make them better in any field.
There's a small slogan"Umbrella doesn't stop away from rain but it gives us the confidence to understand in the rain so like that any degree our knowledge gives you confidence and power to stand in every field".

Every degree has its own importance. If a person is opting for MBA just to get a 6 digit salary or more, then it's worthless. And if someone is really having a keen interest in MBA, then he/she must go for it. Undoubtedly, MBA will not only give you a master degree but also boost your confidence, will bring a positive attitude, enhance and develop your communication skills and business skills, removes stage fear etc. You will also learn to manage the work as well as money. So it's always advisable to go for MBA after your graduation. But going for MBA just for salary is stultification. Because you can also get a salary which is decent enough through your graduation degree.
So the famous saying "Investment in knowledge always pays the best interest" there's nothing on target to go for MBA because it will surely help you get success in life.

Hi I have done my MBA last year now I feel much more confident and satisfied. I always wanted to pursue a higher education but lacked monetary support so when I got a job from that next month I started the MBA course during the 2yr time I had a major accident but I per sued my will and last year was a great time when I received the degree. I am really happy it did not turn to reward in terms of higher pay by my employer but still I have no regrets I got more respect by friends my relatives. Good luck to all who believe in their dreams of doing MBA or CA or any other course its your choice man. Its your life live it on your own terms. Bye.
