Is an MBA necessary to succeed in life?

MBA might not seem necessary at the moment, it's not mandatory for success. But it fasten things up, it works as a catalyst for you to achieve your career goal. MBA is not just a degree, it is a personality development program where they give you real time problems which you may have to solve as an individual or as a team member. It makes you analytical towards to problem.

In addition it adds confidence to you. It clears your mind, It can describe what you may feel but can't express in words. It's good if you are gifted with above features, but we know that not all of us are. Therefore, MBA is a way to get smart or even smarter.

P. S. - Pursuing MBA from a reputed institute means something, not from any ABC** college of Management.

I don't agree that MBA is necessary to get success in life. MBA can give you knowledge about business administration. It doesn't give you success mantras for life. For some the business administration can result into successful life while some are not made for business at all. It all depends on what you are interested in.

But for sure it adds to your knowledge and increase the probability of getting a good job as is the case with many other professional courses. Knowledge is always a boon. It provides us orientation towards this competitive world. And acquiring new skills and knowledge can make you successful coupled with a lot of interest and zeal to achieve and MBA is just one of the many helping hands.

Basically, MBA is a postgraduate administration degree which is referred to holistic approach about the domestic market as well as global market.

MBA is a technical degree which sharpens our skills and knowledge. It's not necessary that you succeed in your life but it is obvious that MBA degree will enhance your income as well as learning skills. So, it is not necessary.

Secondly, we can take an example of ratan tata he is not an MBA. But he is very successful business owners. We can take an example of Bollywood actor like Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Sachin, Virat Kohli and so of which are very successful in his career. So finally I believe that MBA. Is not necessary for succeed in life.

With all due respect to my friends who have stated above that MBA is not necessary to become successful, I just want to ask a question 'if MBA is not useful/necessary, then why all these big or small companies in their job specification ask for an MBA with so many years of work experience'. Why only MBA's are hired for certain positions or you have to work your ass off to get that position.

You either possess or learn skills, yes there are people who have done good without having an MBA degree but how can you forget the achievements of people who have done good after doing their MBA for eg. Ambani Brothers, Ms. Indira Nooyi, Flipkart's Director, Ms. Vinita Bali, Ms. Chanda kochhar and many more.

Dear all, pursuit of excellence is the art of master of behaviour management. I did my graduation in commerce, hence I know some subjects of discussion in MBA Schools. As somebody said going to college n having experienced faculty is very important. As I said above it is very much necessary to understand not only MBA subjects of your choice, you need to learn country and people. This will help when you join common clubs like rotary or lions. You need to explore n exploit library for printed media and for latest submissions of seniors by way of part of assignments. What is world thinking in your country thinking? If you want to work as employees, you need to be clear on company goals.

Well if we talk about successful entrepreneurs and other leading managers then we will see they barely have any masters degree in any management and business courses, hence for running a business and to be a leader attaining an MBA degree is not so important. Leadership, Management is charismatic, though pedagogy can help you to learn it by experience and applying practical knowledge and that is why we do have MBA degrees. MBA is not only a degree but a chance from ample opportunities to grow and boom your inner sight. Though MBA isn't important to succeed in life yet I would say that it plays an integral part in the development and growth of one's self-esteem and knowledge.

In my opinion, it depends on person to person. An individual's surroundings, experience, and level of education matter. If a person is new in the commerce field or wants to enter in business field he must pursue an MBA. Because it will give him exposure to the business world from basic to advanced. It can give direction. One can adapt himself to a professional environment and inculcate the habits of a successful person. And if I talked about being successful, there is no defined limit or definition of being successful.

I have completed MBA. But my point of view, I'm not Agree with MBA is not necessary for succeed in life. Most of the successful the people have not certify on MBA. But they are the roll models for us. And many MNC Company CEO's are not MBA's. But MBA is Important for to know the organizing, planning, directing and controlling the people in the work. Even when your studying the MBA To get the Knowledge for how the organization will work and how to compete with the Competitors, and it's dependence up on their interest. Comparing with engineering MBA is "EVERGREEN" Every time we get the job there is no rescission on MBA's Now days many of them prefer for MBA.
