Social media has both positive and negative aspects.

But if we see this on a positive aspect, today our education system is good.

Many facilities are available on the internet If you want to learn something, you have many options to gain knowledge from your favourite faculty. And to grow your mind in innovative ideas.

Now, about negative aspects:

Youth today are spending much more time on social media, which is also disturbing their mental and physical health.
Because Today's youth spend 3 to 4 hours on social media.

Which is more hazardous on their lives?

In my point of view, the Social networking has both Positive and Negative impacts.

Nowadays, use of social media is increasing very rapidly. Everything is available online many people are making money online. The Usage of social media is depends upon us, how we use it and how much time we waste on social media.

Nowadays, our education system is totally online our societies also prompt their children to learn new knowledge. But on the other side same they are wasting their time by using social media.

As mentioned, today’s topic is the Impact of Social Networking Sites.

After reviewing some of the thoughts/tweets on this topic, I read a thought stating that the human brain can be manipulative in nature.

I think I agree with that—training the brain the way we want can lead to both positive and negative impacts of social media.

If we take the positive side, it means seeing motivational or entertaining videos to refresh a person’s mind. It is also a tool for gathering information about others. It also creates many job opportunities like blogging, content creation, and motivational videos. It also helps many creative fields like photography, cinematography, editing, etc. to grow. For example, through photography as a hobby, I gained confidence.

If we think of the negative impact, I would say many people waste hours scrolling reels, playing online games, or watching movies. This habit can lead to a loss of productivity, and in some cases, it may even cause stress, anxiety, or depression.

Nowadays, cyberbullying happens where posting something informative or creative can attract vulgar comments, which may lead to depression. On social media platforms, people also stalk others and create inappropriate photos with AI, then post them on these platforms.

As I said earlier, the way you use social media is how it impacts society, culture, etc.

Social media sites are made for connecting people to their friends and relatives over the internet. Social media is good for making connections, news, and job updates. Although social media is addictive in nature, using social media for a long time can ruin mental health,and also it affects consistency in doing any work. Social media platforms could be used for study and for working professionals ,and also it could be used for entertainment purposes, but neutral use of social sites will maintain positive aspects of social media.

Social media is the biggest entertainment platform. It makes people lazier. It has vulgar content which effects the students having age under 18. Personal data can be hacked and misused.

Social networking also helps to find a job, dating, friendship, and to know more about each other. A person who is living alone and doesn't have friends can use these social networking apps to connect with more friends.

Ofcourse, there are also some disadvantages to privacy, sharing photo stuff with known or unknown people.

They can misuse your privacy, and also if you spend lots of time in social networking without any purpose, then you are wasting your time.

Sometimes spending more time on social networking can distract your goal.

The given thoughts are completely acceptable. Nowadays, we are more often addicted to social media, but in another way, we are in the era of learning everything and new things easily and effectively. We can learn everything faster and grow faster.

In the early days, there were no social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram, so people were unaware of these technologies. But nowadays, these platforms have become a tool for learning. Nowadays, we don't require any school for learning; these platforms are more often enough for learning. The usage of things in a wise manner is in our hands only.

I am describing the positive side of the social networking site. In my engineering online counseling, I obtain all information about the TNEA process flow, information about colleges, and information about courses only through social media such as YouTube and Google platforms.

And also I have gained social status, education information, and life-growth strategy; all of these are known and gained only through social media. In conclusion, how people can use social media in a positive or negative way only depends on people.

Social media presents both opportunities and challenges.

When discussing the positive side;

It helps us to learn new things like the modern technologies in one place. We gain a lot of information from social media platforms. We can easily communicate with each other around the world.

When we discuss the negative side;

Nowadays, people can slowly forget face-to-face interaction as they become fully focused on social media. They become lazy and children have eyesight issues at a young age. Moreover, some people misuse social media to exploit others.

In conclusion, we should take the responsibility and decide in which way we should use the social media and in a way which we shouldn't use.
