In fact, it has many demerits like scams and addictions. It is highly affecting the lives of teenagers. They are addicted to many social media platforms. Also stopped playing games because they were stuck in playing video games. This affects both their physical and mental health.

But social media also has many merits. It made our life easy. Anyone can get access to many free courses and can study at any time. Many social media platforms provide various skills and also job opportunities. It also made our money transactions easier and secure.

Social media has brought the world into our hands. So, I believe that the impact that social media platforms leave on us only depends on ourselves. If we use them for our growth they leave us a good impact, or else we may get scammed or addicted, which leads to depression ruins our life, and also leads to death.

I'll begin with a discussion, in my perspective.

Initially let's consider some advantages of social media, So if any incident happens in society, that incident gets scattered in seconds around the world, and everyone becomes aware of it, it's a positive side of social media, but the other part is, if any incident happen, some individual who don't have proper understanding of the incident, they start sharing the thing the way they understand, due to this many Miss conceptions are gather together in the society, as a result of which wrong messages are got shared.

Now let's take one more drawback of social media, everyone knows how to use social media to travel on social media, and we don't need to do any physical activities, which in turn results in major physical issues.

Social media is playing one of an important role in our lives. It provides connectivity to people, to people, not only those people who are nearby us but also those people who are very far from us. It's easily connected and it is one of the beneficiary tools to showcase our talent. Because when I post something on social media, it is seen by the whole world, not by one city or one state. With the help of social media we can achieve easily what we want to achieve because it makes a path very easy by providing such a bigger platform but wait when something has a merit then at the same time it also has a demerit and one of the biggest demerit of it by using this platform some notorious people can also spread the fake or misleading news and innocent people have easily trust on that.

According to my view, Social networking sites had a profound impact on modern society. They have revolutionized communication, connecting people across the globe and fostering new forms of interaction. However, this digital transformation has also raised concerns about privacy, mental health, and the spread of misinformation. The influence of social networking sites continues to evolve, shaping the way we connect, share information, and engage with the world.

And it is having an impact on today's School Students.

Social media use is nearly universal among today’s teens. Pew Research center reports 97 percent of 13- to 17-year-Olds use at least one of seven major online platforms.

The amount of time spent on social media platform sites is astounding. One report indicates the average teen ages 13 to 18 spends about nine hours on social media each day, tweens ages 8 to 12 are on for about six And Seven hours a day.

Advantage And Dis-Advantage:

* Staying connected with family and friends worldwide via email, text, FaceTime, etc.
* Quick access to information and research.
* Banking and bill pay at our fingertips.
* Online learning, job skills, content discovery (YouTube).
* Involvement in civic engagement (fundraising, social awareness, providing a voice).
* Great marketing tools.
* Opportunities for remote employment.

Dis-Advantage :

Online vs Reality. Social media itself is not the problem. It is the way people use it in place of actual communication and in-person socializing. “Friends” on social media may not actually be friends, and may even be strangers.

Increased usage. More time spent on social media can lead to Cyberbullying, social anxiety, depression, and exposure to content that is not age-appropriate.

* Social Media is addicting. When you’re playing a game or accomplishing a task, you seek to do it as well as you can.

Thank you for giving me this opportunity. Nowadays social media plays a crucial role in everyone's life. It has both good and bad effects. We can use the platforms such as YouTube, what's up, Instagram, Facebook, Chatgpt, and so on. From these platforms, we can learn new things, gain knowledge, improve business, etc. It has more benefits when we use it in the proper manner otherwise it leads to stress and depression. It is useful to communicate with people who are far away from us. By using this we can easily find job opportunities. It also gives entertainment.

As per as I know social media is useful for people who are going to build their careers and it is worse when people use this for unnecessary things and waste their valuable time.
