Impact of Social Networking Sites

My name is Prakash Jivtode.

And today I would like to initiate a group discussion on the topic of the advantages and disadvantages of social media.

In my opinion, social media has its own advantages as well as disadvantages it depends upon how you handle social media.

The advantage of social media is that people can share their thoughts, showcase their creativity and show their talent in front of the world, some platform like linkdin is very useful for finding jobs and connecting with professors and communicating.

The Disadvantage is people waste their time scrolling social media the whole day, nowadays small children are using social media which is not good for their brain.

Our topic is "Impact of Social Networking Sites".

Social networks are built to increase our network, like connecting with new people for personal growth, and certainly to build our own personal brand to stand out in the competitive world.
95% of people use social media to post trending, doom scrolling and engagement activities like commenting, liking and messaging, but the remaining 5% people are building their own personal brand; those people are called influencers, they are getting opportunities directly.

For instance, on a Microsoft career site, they are asking for a LinkedIn profile or a Resume for a job application. Here, a social media site decides someone's career based on how they use it.

I think it has a huge impact on present generation both in the positive and negative way. It totally depends upon how it is being used by us. Some people are too much addictive towards social networking sites and they kill a lot of their time with these social media. Thats not at all a great thing happening with us.

Nowadays everyone busy with their lives, in this busy community the social media really relieves our stress with a proper usage. We may not talk to our friends daily, but still, we have been updated with their statuses because of social media. It also acts like a media by which we can really get to know a lot of things going around the world.

So, its totally with us, using or misusing!

Tejaswi here, and I'll be sharing my thoughts on the impact of social media.

Nowadays Social Media is being widely used from children to Our Senior citizens. Through social media people can connect with their friends and family globally, can make video calls, and Share some online moments with each other. In addition, it is a platform that allows users to make money, share their thoughts, do advertisement for their businesses and much more. Also Social media is beneficial in the field of Health & Fitness, as many people, doctors, health coach share the exercises, foods, calorie intake and other health related information through social media that being helpful for the people.

Yes, the impact of social networking sites is something which is not to be ignored.

Social networking sites have changed the way we live and we should control ourselves in using them. I agree with the point that it has a lot of positive and negative aspects.

Let us first view the positive aspects-.

1) We can gain a lot of valuable information.
2) We can perform a lot of tasks like online payment, booking tickets, social interaction, etc.
3) Good source of entertainment.

Now let us view the negative aspects-.

1) Distraction from our duties and responsibilities.
2) Online fraud.
3) Cyberbullying.
So in my view, it is fully dependent on how we use these sites and ensure they do not harm anyone.

There is no doubt that social media and the internet both become a prime source of knowledge and connectivity by using this we can easily get current news all over the world and this is a very good quality that social media possess during the pandemic social media has become a boon for them who are not able to pay fees of schools and colleges but by social media, they can easily learn from YouTube and other education platforms I like most this good impact of social media another is social media has people connected but social media has two sides like a coin one is boon and other is a curse. The bad impact of social media is that social media reduce outdoor activities that cause vulnerable health.

Social networking sites impact:

1) It totally depends on the user and how the user is utilizing that site.
I would like to say positive thoughts on this-.

A) The students who can't afford too many fees of coaching so there are many websites which help them to provide free classes or less amount from offline coaching.
B) The parents who don't know anything like how to make this and how to do it also have started searching from various sites.
C) Students get help from various sites like #INDIABIX#, #YOUTUBE# so do practice properly and also have free access.
E) Users are communicated to each other through various platforms.

it helps in grooming, enriches your knowledge also helps to earn money.

A coin have 2 sides, same here Social Media have it's positive as well as negative effects.

For a creator social media is like his daily job and an earning machine as well, for good and mature student it is also helping them as their teachers.

And at the same time, other peoples are consuming too much of the content from social media and hence leading to decrease there focus span, bad eye vision and many health issues.

Even many students use Youtube for study's but they just show it. They get distracted and also ends loosing thier most precious time on social media.

So, it is like a sword, you can use this sword to win your life or you yourself cut the necck of your success using this sword.

Today's group discussion topic is the impact of social networking sites.

As per my opinion, everyone is using social networking nowadays. It's become routine/habit in our day-to-day life. Everything has two types generally i.e.positive side and negative side just like by using social networking sites we get benefits and some demerits too.

On the positive side, we can easily get valuable information related to our problems.

On the Negative side, by extra usage of social networking sites, we can get instant results. And also some health issues like heart disease i.e., by Mobile uv rays we get some health issues.

Social networking sites :

Nowadays there are too many social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc we can use them for any purpose good or bad.

But our young generation is using it for bad purposes like on Instagram they just post their photos instead of posting photos, if they use it to collect knowledge then it may be useful.

Overall if someone is addicted to social networking sites then these are the worst but we can use these sites for study purposes as in the pandemic period YouTube helped a lot of children to continue their studies. And also if someone is living outside of his home then he can use them to connect with his family by video calling.
