Nowadays, technology is increasing rapidly to know what's going on daily, we need social networking sites, but we should utilise everything properly. Some of sites are useful to gain knowledge and learn skills, but some are not that much worth.

I am going to explain this with an example: if you are the person who wants to share the valuable things that you learn throughout the process or start your own startup, then this is one of the main platforms that you are going to use to make your direct or indirect contribution to society as a person. It's in your hand what things you can do or see, so that's important.

On the other hand, about the cons, firstly, any online platform we use needs to be reliable, and having good ethics and trustworthy platforms helps to have more support and good security, which is important.

In my opinion, Social media has both aspects- positive and negative. 'you are using it to gain knowledge, learning new skills it is really helpful and if you are using to just waste your time on social media this will affect your studies, mental health dyc. When we scroll reels the time span was around 10-15sec for every reel and we are addicted to that. This will reduce your ability to focus on longer tasks.

I believe that social networking sites have both positive and negative impacts on us.

If used for learning, gaining knowledge, or even earning money, these platforms can be really helpful. Sometimes, when we need quick information and can't ask someone directly, social networking sites can provide the answers instantly, which is very convenient.

However, on the negative side, many people use these sites only for entertainment. While that’s okay to some extent, they often don’t realise how much time they're wasting. In some cases, these platforms are also misused for spreading false information or cyberbullying.

So, in my opinion, the impact depends on how we use social networking sites — they can be a tool for growth or a distraction.

When we use social media to enhance our knowledge, we upgrade skills by referring to various information available online. For example, many rural students can clear their competitive exams by learning online.

But, as we know every thing as two perspectives social media can also be threat i.e., due to social media the cyber crimes are increasing day by day.
