Hello Friends,
According to my opinion, extracurricular activities should be made compulsory in schools but not by forcing the student to do the particular type of activities which they are not apt.
Studying for longs hours without any break or refreshment make study boring and after some time we also start losing concentration. Besides studies, a person should stay active and healthy. Extra curricular activities help in stress removal, learning to work in a team, how to behave with people and cooperate them, staying healthy both physically and mentally, improves concentration.
Each student has a different capabilities and talent. Also, some student is not good at study or they are not interested in studies. So, by adding extra curricular activities we also helping those students to know or find their hidden talent and to work on it.
So, we can conclude that extra curricular activities are very important for growth and development of individual and hence it should be made compulsory in every school.
Thank you.

"Talent can't be taught but it can be awakened".
There are more than 50 lakhs of students presently studying in school. And yes every child has his unique ability. To find these hidden talents in these children, the extracurricular activities should be made compulsory. There might be jitters for the participants at early stages, but as they realise the field in which they excel in they shall be more confident in their other avenues of the life.
Let's take China, for example, a country with 1.3 Billion people has 70 medals and India with 1.2 Billion people has only 2 medals in Olympics-2016. Does that mean Indians aren't as good as Chinese, Of course not? The problem here lies in the Talent acquisition. Extracurriculars aren't as encouraged as academics in India.
Let it be Music, Sports, Art. A child has his own unique ability and to find this talent, Extracurriculars should be encouraged in at least early stages of Schooling. Also, the government should allocate more resources to encourage such hidden talents.

I think extracurricular activities are as important as regular studies. There is a lot of advantages as if you play sports, you will get healthy. Extracurricular activities also improve the knowledge about outside world.
More importantly, it gives you experience. Like experience in giving a public speech, or writing an essay. And it improves the communication skills and also helps to meet new people. And the most important thing, children come to know their field of interest.
One more example to say extracurricular activities is us, look at us, we are doing group discussion to get placed. And if there are two schools wherein one school there is extracurricular activities whereas in another school there isn't. Then the school children of the second school can't compete with the children of other schools in activities like speech, group discussion. So it helps to build confidence also.
Most of the schools will have extracurricular activities, but it reduces when you see colleges, I think it should change.

Hi friends,
It's my opinion, First I agree with this topic. Because today world most expecting talent students. But some school focusing on how to get high marks and how to get the first place in our school. This is the current situation in school. (I said only for few school not at all). However some school encouraging the student and they respect the talents. So students are increasing the skills. Extracurricular activities should be made compulsory in school. Teacher's will be encouraging the student and said half of the study should be half of the games. For example in the world today, there are more talented and achieved our dreams. (Sachin, Michel Jackson). So "Education can identify a man" but "Skills proves a man life's, further help me show your way of life". Indeed in today's world, talent is a great competition and its also war. Finally skill should be developed in each school. (because this is a student's life). Extracurricular activities exist for all students.
Thank you, friends!

Hello friends,
As our Group Discussion topic is Extra curricular activities should be compulsory in school.
I would like to say that extra curricular activities must be compulsory in school.
First of all I would like to introduce what is the meaning of extra curricular activities.
Anything that is apart from our school education like learning a new language, learning computer, self-development programme etc.
Now let me tell you the merits of this kind of programme.
The merits of this kind of programme is so much. Apart from our education system the students get knowledge of some other fields which is really benificial.
When a students reach to college they face many problems as in many schools there is not good education system. Those schools are unable to growth the children mind. As we know the way you will shape your mind in childhood it will effect you adulthood.
So if schools will start providing this kind of extra education to the students then it will be benificial to the students.

In my opinion, it is absolutely right to make extra curricular activities compulsory in school in order to balance the mental and physical health of a student for his wholesome growth. Activities like Sports, weekend trips to places, plantation programmes, dance, music etc. Should be there for the students that will not only make them fit and enhance their skills but also help them to deal with social problems in their lives as well.
For example-If we take the western countries, their students must take a sport as their forte in their academic sessions. This also ensures that they gain mastery over their chosen sport as they grow and eventually, these students bag the medals in National and International level Tournaments.
At last, Student life is most sensitive because they are like clay that will take the permanent shape as they are moulded. So, it is up to us to leave them to remain in their shell of books or expose them to different situations before their actual responsibilities start.

Yes, I support that extra curricular activity should be mandatory in schools because apart from academic knowledge students has many other talents where he/she is provided a platform to explore their talents extra curricular activities include dancing, singing, painting, sports, yoga etc. So every school must make this activity as a part of academics and they should be awarded. By including extra curricular activities student can improve their mental and physical growth and this activity make students relieve stress and strain. He/she can know what are the different talents hidden in them and they come to know where they stand in a group of people. Even recruiters are particularly concentrating on extra curricular activities other than academic activities. Every student knows what their abilities are and they even have an opportunity to develop various behavioral skills, thinking can be developed and hesitation to perform the particular task can be ruined off.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Hello everyone,
In my point of view, Extra curricular activities should be made compulsory in each and every school. Students keep on studying for the whole day and they don't have any source of relaxation. Apart from this there are some students who want to build their career in other areas which are not related to education. But since parents say that school education is must, they join in the schools. So, if they have such activities daily they feel relaxed and can also build their career based on their interests.
Extra curricular activities include dance, music, group discussions, sports, and many other. If students get involved in all these they will be able to use their skills in the future also.
The CBSE board had already made sports and Extra curricular activities compulsory in all CBSE affiliated schools. I think that the government is also making it compulsory. But if there is any school still not making it compulsory, then I think its high time now.

HELLO EVERYONE.
Today topic given to us is extracurricular activities should be made compulsory in school.
Extracurricular activities are any activity which is not related to the institutional subject of the student & it's different from regular studies.
A student must know his personality types by the extracurricular activities. Every student is different from each other just like our t-shirt size is not similar, so how our brain and interest is? Extracurricular activity defines the interest of the student.
If you pay a fee for extracurricular activity this amount is not going in spending rather than investment. Any amount which you invest in productivity then it comes back to you in a qualitative manner just like ROI.
As we know students must be aware of trending activities, which helps them to boost their thoughts and process, this activity helps the student to come out from the box which is closed with four rectangles and take a ride in the sky.

From my point of view, extra curricular activities should be made compulsory in school. We know that today's generation kids are doing a race in the name of education. Who is going to top in schools or college? Even though many children have good skills in the sports or they are talented in other activities but many times their parents are not allowing them to go for that because that will affect their studies as they thinking. So I must say that it extra curricular activities should make compulsory in school.
AS jack Ma said : Its ok that you are not top in your class be an average student because these kinds of students have only got time to involve in other activities and they can also learn many things.
Today's generation has only bookish knowledge and they are unaware of the real world. By doing extra sports activity they can be fit physically. By involving in other games and activities your brain functioning will also increase.
