Examinations - has it killed education

The examination is the worst nation. It kills everything we are interested in. They don't teach sports, music, arts, drama, etc.

Whatever we are interested in is not being taught nor considered important in school. We go and study useless junk which nobody's interested in. And the definition of EDUCATION is to learn something. And something doesn't mean the subjects that are taught in school. We have to waste our time doing something we are not interested in. And it does not let a child's creativity to open up. It is a barrier to our talents and interests.

Many get less marks because they aren't interested in it.

Many suicides because they are carrying out useless activities.

Many go in depression because they get less marks (because of examination marks).

Parents scold students for getting less marks, but can't they see that students aren't interested in those things. Most of them give examinations because of their parent's desires. We do something we don't like but do it for someone, we lose a point if our lives. It seems like they are living in our minds and controlling them. It's our life, Not theirs. Nobody dares to confront or be the first one to disagree to that examination of useless junk is important.

But if nobody cares, that'll continue and life of many people would be as usual - a mess. So I'll give the advice to do things that you think is important and the things you love to do, not even like, love.

According to me, the examination is not to way check the abilities of students. Learning power had been finished by examination.

If a student did hard work before the one-day exam he will pass his exam but he will not have perfect knowledge. Many students are frustrated about the exam.

I do not feel examinations are necessary for proper education. While examinations help us test our knowledge, over the years they have become more of a memory test. Marks have become more important than knowledge, they have become part of one's identity. One is often judged by the marks scored by him or her in an examination. The pressure and stress faced by students due to these tests have led to them losing interest in studies. Some might say without exams, students will not study. I say students will not study if they lack interest in the subject and what they study with interest will be the right education (for them). Thus, I feel exams should not be the trigger for them to study, their passion to explore and find out should be their trigger.

Examination are just basically composed of 11 alphabets but they carry tons of fear, stress, anxiety in students.

According to me, Examination should be taken in a postive manner rather than negative, And examination is all about collaborating our knowledge and writing it in the walls of our mind rather than vomiting it in a piece of parchment sheet.

Yes, examination kills the education because examination is all about marks. Parents pressurized their child to got 1st rank. So students are not learning any things they are only read and memorized it.

I don't think examination has killed our education. But the examination system that we are following kills education. Because it is all about getting marks and it doesn't check whether the student is really worth of it or not. In the present scenario, theoretical exams are given more importance than practicals. We should give more weight to the practical exams rather than theoretical ones. Only then students can worthfully utilise their studies.

As we all know India is a developing nation, that is developing each and every section. So why don't we think to develop our present examination system?

Education and Exams are really not helping anyone discover their potential.

Eg: Suppose I am a research-oriented person, now why will I learn 100 's of topics to qualify for research if I can dedicate my life to just one topic in which I want to research.

The same goes for many other works like I love music, but you don't have schools for music until you realise you can learn on your own if it's really for you. I mean education has killed so many students, many gone insane, but it has not made us good human beings. Now, real education is Nature, Life, Music, Arts, Social Interactions etc.

Yeah, I think as by scoring good marks in an exam we can't prove anything. Its just like reading 100 of words within a day for the exam and remembering nothing after exams means of no use na. So education should be like that that students can study by enjoying and can express their talent.

Exams have not killed the education but the Indian education system is responsible for killing of education. In foreign countries education system is different and the mode of education is also different and students are enjoying it. But in our country, it is totally different from students are not focused on understanding but they are memorising.

And a common effect faced is conceptually weak and this leads to unemployment.

According to me, everything has both good and bad side. Yes, all the students are not in the same category. Some of the students they like to read and prepare for exam and accordingly they sit the exam, they get their result and some of the students they are not very attentive only at the time of exam they read and manage their exam and maybe they pass. But some of the students they are very regular sometimes they get upset because of maybe he or she not get the marks as per their expectation but those not regular their study he/she gets good marks. Sometimes we see some of the students they are very nervous maybe they are regular but at the time of the exam, they can't compete maybe they fell ill. But without education authority cannot get the chance for the next class. Actually we see some of the students they have very good knowledge and very regular in their study but at the time of exam they don't get results as per their expectations but some of the students they don't want to read but at the time of the exam, they get very good marks. As they get the good marks they can get a chance anywhere but fewer marks he will not get chance I e sometimes students get upset.
