Examinations - has it killed education

Hi friends this is Samyuktha.

In my point of view, examinations are the one which influences the students to get run with the competitive world.

They can gain the spirit at the time of examination. They can express their knowledge through these exams.

The main disadvantage of these exams we can lose our knowledge.

Some people who are sensitive while getting low marks will get into depressions.

The lecturers who are evaluating the papers they don't see the knowledge of the students.

So, I conclude that examinations are the one who gets interested in studying the subjects by gaining marks to the student's life.

In support of the following points, I believe the method by which an exam is conducted has downgraded the value of the subjects taught to us. It's just a practice of memorizing and vomiting the content in answer paper which gets evaporated immediately.

Of course, our curriculum needs major improvements, but the basic knowledge shouldn't be ignored at any cost. That's a different discussion altogether.

What I would suggest is that schools should give all the necessary tools required to solve a problem given in an exam and let the students deduce the solution by applying their knowledge gained during lectures.

I think, it doesn't make sense that exams kill creativity or exam result in talented outcome. CREATIVITY is far more important than CAPABILITY. So just the simple logic is that the way, in which the questions are asked must be changed. The topics like aptitude and reasoning must be included in every national level examination irrespective of the department or profession. By this we can extract the people who not just only are capable of studying a large content, but also can tackle with different situations.

NOTHING EVER KILLED ANYTHING. The only thing that killed is the way its used.

Exams were meant to let the student realize his/her current status, not their future. Keeping their mind in succeeding their future, they neglected their interest towards their favorite subjects. And more over exams are basic means of evaluating ourselves.

Exams are just like a student learns all his lessons and write them in the exams like a trained parrot is asked to.

Exams don't test our creativity and moreover, Indian Parents put a lot of pressure on their kids to score ranks.

According to my opinion, students must have the full independence to prove their talent. But unfortunately, our education system puts bound on that. Our education system has become the only measure of testing the memory power of students. Taking the example of two students one who is good at cramming and the one who is not, the one having more cramping power will get a good score but the other who is not good at cramming but has a lot of practical knowledge will be left behind and can't score well. So our examination system is not an effective way of testing our abilities but rather an indicator of our memory power.

I don't think so examination has killed education just because exams are for testing our memorizing capacity that what we have till studied in our school. According to me, people give more priority to marks than the knowledge that is not good just because how 3 hours paper will not decide our career. There must be a solution of this reason that marks are not a priority. Education is something gives us knowledge about the various thing it's about the development of our brain. Actually, exams are not the reason for this solution must be a change in our thinking just because our teachers ' parents ' friend, relatives everyone ask good marks good job.

So we should change our thinking.

It is a very important topic. I am very happy to discuss it. These days examination becomes a means for judging our memory power and not for knowledge obviously, I am not talking about all exam but for many examinations. It's pattern completely changed our mindset and thinking the ability that's why we can say that it killed education. It is a consequence of our education system.

Conclusion: our education system should be changed that will change our mindset and increase our thinking capability. According to it, the exam pattern should be.

I would like to speak on the topic that students should choose their own subjects to study rather than university which try to impose as many as they can, with this system neither university will get good results nor we, students must have idea of practical use of their education otherwise they wouldn't be able to use it, on which they spends years.

Guys. In my point of we never think to break our thoughts or to think outside of the box because we don't know how to do that. This is not our mistake. This is because of our education SYSTEM. We are born with creativity but this gotten suppressed in a later stage. How? when the time we start to learn in schools that Is the starting stage. When a person scores high marks in the exam All the teachers and student calling him our genius. Is he really a genius? a big no, the purpose of EXAMS are conducted is to test to our memory power. BUT WHAT IS THE USE OF IT anyhow we going to forget it after a period. Till now we are giving important which is non-essential one.

Guys remind your school day. Science project is will be conducted. But how many will participate in that? Out of 38, not more than 6 people from each class will participate in that, why? we all learn science subject from our small classes. If we can't even invent something newly then what we are going to do later. Even though we are good at studies and score high marks in exam, if we can not do anything from what we learn. Then what is the point of scoring high marks in exams and learning? It is totally utter waste at the end.

Our teacher only knows to teach what is in the book. That we can also do it isn't it. Then what is the use of teachers? Really I don't understand it. Do you know? think deeply. Guys everyone knows that education system should change but no one is taking a step regarding that. Do you know what is the reason behind it? if we commenting on this what is going to happen. Do you think it will bring changes nothing will change. Do you know something even though we know which is the right path but we will never go and fight for that how amazing isn't it? We just took this issue as a topic to discuss.

Do you know because of this education system we have not gain anything for a long time but we have lots more which you can't even think. How much will it be? if you all thinking that we should stop this anyhow means. What are you going to do? What will happen if this same issue going to affect the next generation? Do you have any idea about that? So that only to avoid some tragic I am doing research on it. I am psychologist student of the 1st year.
