EQ or IQ

EQ and IQ both are important for success in life. IQ depends on our technical knowledge and EQ depends on our behavior. We can achieve our goals with IQ, But our behavior determines the stability of our achievement.

All we know, that EQ is emotional quotient and IQ is intelligence quotient. According to me solution to every problem has good and bad effects. So everyone has to deal each problem with both EQ and IQ. Lack of anyone poses to some loss it may be money, value, respect. Etc. In INDIA If we loose money it won't matter much but loosing the values, respect it really effects as our people have great ethics and emotions.

Basically, I think that both are equally important but on the other side, I have this view also that eq matters more. Sometimes, when we overreact or act sentimental, we show our sense of behaving in society. It also proves that we are not strong from inside and it appears that we are not having good IQ level as we couldn't control ourselves and our emotions.

Hello friends, Swamy Vivekananda has rightly said, a right education is one which enlightens ones soul. According to me EQ and IQ are like twins. They need to be accompanied by each other for a person to give his/her best performance in any situation, be it work related or personal life. Both Intelligence and emotional quotients can be acquired from various sources and self experiences but it's the one who uses it optimally is the one who wins the competition in today's world.

EQ refers to the Emotional quotient which means dealing with emotion and IQ refers to Intelligence quotient which means dealing with knowledge. In human life, everything has its own importance, so we can't differentiate IQ and EQ but they are complementary to each other. Those people who have both of these qualities their life is a balance. Today the trend has been changed for a job, why? because all company wants to the growth his company, so those people who have a better EQ means better leadership quality, handling the situations and emotion easily, they preferred him first but it doesn't mean IQ is not important. IQ is also one of the important parts for getting a job, suppose you don't get better knowledge than you rejected first because the company has some criteria for applying the job. At last but not least I can say that IQ and EQ both are interrelated to each other for being the life too much good.

There should be balance between both, one should not outweigh the other. Even robots have built it artificial intelligence but without EQ, so if we crave only for IQ there would not b any difference between we and machines, IQ is inbuilt within us in the form of a brain, we jst need to put it into use more & more and let not stay it idle and rust.

I will go for IQ over EQ.

In today's world, we are witnessing new invention and startups every day. If we want to survive and give yourself a place among all then we should have ample amount of IQ.

For example, if Legendary scientists Stephen Hawking had gone with EQ then we can not have any idea about creation of the entire universe.

If Bear Grylls (of survival series Man vs. Wild) would have gone with EQ then he could never survive in a critical situation where he has to kill animals to eat.

Moreover; in practical and industrial world IQ should be placed on peak importance whereas EQ is needed to be a social being.

In my opinion, IQ and EQ are important in a person's life. Both are like two eyes of a person. One should have an IQ to solve a problem in life and one should have an EQ to handle the result of a problem.

EQ and IQ have relation just like ROSS and RACHEL from FRIENDS.

Here all the book smarts will agree to IQ(Intelligence Quotient), which is the number derived from the standardized intelligence test, scores are calculated by dividing the individual's mental age with individuals chronological age multiplied by 100.

IQ represents abilities such as
->Qualitative ability
->visual and spatial processing
->knowledge of the world
->working and short-term memory
->Fluid reasoning

All the street smarts will agree to the emotions intelligence which refers to the person's ability to perceive, control, evaluate and express emotions.

EQ represents abilities such as
-> Identifying emotions.
-> Evaluating how others feel.
-> Controlling one's own emotions.
-> Using emotions to facilitate human intelligence, social communication.

I prefer Emotional intelligence, It is no doubt individuals with high IQ perform well in the studies, accomplish things better but only high intelligence will not guarantee success in life. It is too narrow to fully encompass the wide range of human abilities and knowledge.

Research shows that people with great empathy, leadership potential, initiative, self-confidence show high EQ. They are able to handle situations better than the individuals with high IQ. People with high IQ may perform well in competitive exams but the individuals with high EQ will become Global leaders. Companies now mandate Emotional intelligence training and use EQ as the part of their hiring process.
