Hi.

I am Deepanshu Goyal.

In my opinion, both EQ and IQ are equally important in our life because there is some situation where we have to think emotionally and somewhere we have to think intelligently. So both are equally important.

Man is the most unpredictable of all resources. So reading the thought process of someone else and acting according to it is the toughest job. That is the reason why top level human resource managers are paid the highest salaries.

So, if you can understand the thought process of a person and manipulate/ influence him to work according to your needs, you will be at the top in no time. That is one of the most important qualities of any person.

Having a good IQ is great but always remember that a person with good IQ works under a person with good EQ.

In my opinion,

Iq means intelligent quotient and it refers to how much person is so intellectual, intelligent and solve problem in new innovative method while eq means emotional quotient refers to how a person deals a situation with not only by mind but heart as well as thinking with feelings.

And both are very necessary in a leader and play a very important role in any situation.

In my point of view, both EQ and IQ is needed for everyone. Because EQ makes a man happy and IQ makes a man perfect. So both of them is more important.

I think EQ is as important as IQ in contributing to the success of a person. EQ helps us to deal with people more rationally and helps us to understand people emotionally. By having a good IQ we can have a good job but by having a good EQ in addition to good IQ we become a sensitive and emotionally intelligent which makes us a good person in all.

IQ - Intelligent Quotient.

Which contain: analytical thought logic, memory, hyperactivity, concentration, risk, politics, competency, and technical skills.

EQ - Emotional Quotient.

Which contain: holistic thought, empathy, art, music, awareness, motivation, hopes, fear, emotion, soft skills, belief, behaviors, sacrifice, discipline, and dedication.

IQ measures the ability of a person to think logically and also solve new problems with innovative ideas. IQ can be somewhat increased by practice. EQ defines how a person is able to manage his/her own emotions and also understand other's emotions.

You need to have a brilliant IQ to become a good engineer, but to be a leader of engineer your EQ is more important rather than IQ. It's different to go ahead with one. I think they are complementary to each other. A person should have EQ like 2/3 ICE in the ocean & 1/3 ICE above water level. So we can understand from this what we see & what we don't see but need to hold space for.

" EQ + IQ = SUCCESS ".

There are many examples to understand if one of them is not there then the person is not ideal like Sheldon Cooper from 'Big Bang Theory' has IQ - 187 but a very low EQ level so that's why his coworkers don't like them.

Osama-bin-laden is a great example to understand that a person with a great ability to think is not sufficient, he should have some EQ too. Next, chimpanzees, dolphins, crows, and elephants have more IQ than humans so EQ is one of the factors which differentiates us from animals.

There should be a balance between EQ-IQ because some of the decisions we cannot make by emotions and some not take by the brain every path of life we should have a proper balance between them.

Every successful man maintains a level between them. You might not make any decision with only one of the EQ or IQ. Many companies are looking for an employee who has both of them So they conduct aptitude tests as well as psychometric tests.

Thank you.

Hello friends,

As per the fact of life. We need both EQ and IQ.

Because IQ may get you to the top but EQ will what will keep you there.

It's not a question of salvaging IQ because we are born with it and over the course of years by selecting stimuli in our surrounding we enrich our IQ. But we should never overlook EQ, EQ plays a crucial role in person's life. IQ will get you from A to B, but EQ will make sure you don't lose yourself in its pursuit. Numerous times it happens that we chase an incomprehensible goal like money or fame only to realize that in pursuit of achieving that, we tarnished certain relations in our lives, we took our happiness for granted, we completely overlooked aspects of human relations in our lives and thus at the end of the horizon we found ourselves isolated and shunned by the people. So in the conclusion, I can say that it is EQ where our primary focus needs to be so that we invite and maintain healthy relations in our life, people that can help us expend our IQ in turn and vice versa.

Hi, in short both are important, because EQ means to understand one's emotions n feelings, which is very imp to rise high in your life by binding everyone by your side, whereas IQ is required to work intelligently, that is why, in every competitive exam Reasoning is compulsory to answer, hence both are imp.

EQ or IQ in my opinion both is important.

But how much?

This can be understood easily.
As both are condition based.
It's your condition which decides which is more important.
