Television is considered as an Idiot box for some people and an instrument/device of knowledge for some. It is up to us whether to take it as the source of knowledge or as a source disaster for our youth.
If we adopt the habit of watching good shows based on science, general knowledge, decent news then it will definitely help us to grab quality knowledge.

In my opinion TV is idiot box. But in some ways, it can be so useful. That depends upon your watching. If you watch good program that helps you. Other wise it destroy your thinking.

My opinion on television is there are both negative, positive and advantage & disadvantages of using television. Some negative are we may spoil our eyes, we get attracted to ads etc. Some positive are we can know what will happen all over the world by the news etc. I feel that television is good but not all the time.

I don't think tv has influenced the youth badly. Today most of the young people are watching news channels and geography history such knowledge providing channels.
Only the homemakers are watching tv serials etc.
On watching tv, we could know day to day updates in all level. It has affected our communication. For an example, an illiterate person can also be able to understand the language other than his/her mother tongue.
Communication skills can be improved.
And there is a negative effect in certain programs.
Tv is actually a media to the outer world.
