Effects of Television on Youth

Television delights and instructs us in various ways. We all get very tired when we return home after working outside for the entire day. It is said that "Variety is the spice of the life". And television offers variety of entertainment channels. Television also have bad effect on the adults.

Because children are used to watching television more than studying because television is really entertaining.

I think television is more influence on our daily life, it is just like our basic need. Peoples are watching different shows because of that they behave like the character of that show or movie, recently one news comes after watching crime petrol show on sony channel crime rate is increased because their more aware about police investigation they avoid CCTV camera, mobile during the crime. But it does mean you will not watch TV it is up to you whether we took good things or bad things from television.

Television has its merits and demerits. I particularly think that we shouldn't overlook the negative effects of television on the youth as it showcases programs which reflect diverse cultures. Television has an undoubtedly huge influence on the youth as much as l hate to say this through this vice the youth have lost the true essence of beauty celebrities who get surgeries for butt enhancements. Seriously!?, it's pathetic now almost every girl thinks that true beauty is defined by body shape and that is ridiculously wrong. Yes, we can't control we they choose to broadcast on television but at least being able to pinpoint how much these celebrities who showcase on tv are actually influencing the youth negatively would be a step forward. It has also resulted in a complete dilution of cultural and moral values due to the imitation and adoption of some of the worst and unacceptable tendencies. I can't fully pose the blame on the youth for not being cautious on what to and what not to adopt and imitate. We are just victims of a generation that has lost the almost true essence of everything.

Many students, who have habit in watching television are hardly get their homework done.

I think tv has advantages and disadvantages both. But I want to tell its disadvantages: poor vision, violent behaviour, attention-deficit, obesity, irritable temper, lack of physical fitness.

My opinion on television is there are both negative, positive and advantage & disadvantages of using television. Some negative are we may spoil our eyes, we get attracted to ads etc. Some positive are we can know what will happen all over the world by the news etc. I feel that television is good but not all the time.

I think television take good effect on youth but few number of news channels are creating bad effects on youth like about J&k, JNU case etc.

We should try to oppose of these channels who are creating bad habit on youth.

And some news channels are good for giving good knowledge & also taking a courage, commitment, honour on youth.

I thing TV is the best source of entertainment as well as update the technologies etc.

Has anyone ever seen any invention done by mankind which has not been accompanied by any side effect or any problem that it might cause to the society or mankind?

Television being a human invention has got certain side effects but according to me it never is a ban to the society. Television is called an 'idiot box' not because it is an idiot but it is we the humans who do not properly utilize it and are the real idiots.
